The free Guest Laundry was nice but a water system failure midday for 3 hours created a major problem at the hotel.
While I understand the remoteness of the site increases the cost, the resort monopolizes on that fact to extort what I consider exorbitant prices for everything- and then has the gal to ask for donations to the Indigenous Peoples Fund above and beyond what the hotel is making in profit.

Decent linens. Rooms were spartan, bathrooom condition was average. Aesthetic was that of a motel. Front desk staff was excellent.
Spend the extra and go to Sails in the Desert

The rooms are basic but quite nice apart from having ho windows, this was not obvious when booking. There are opaque windows in the bathroom area but you cannot see out of these, so it's like being in an inside cabin on a ship, or a dungeon. Staff were pleasant and helpful and room clean apart from dead ants in several locations.
This property is nice & centrally located. However, there are no elevators so it was challenging to get luggage up & down (only 2 floors though). Also, we had an early morning excursion with our flight out immediately afterwards & this location’s office was not open between 8:00 pm & 7:00 am. Therefore we were taking our luggage downstairs & over to the next property at 5:45 am—in the dark. It all turned out fine, but just not as convenient as we had wished.
Nice and close to the town square, free shuttle bus every 30 minutes to where you need to go. Good rooms. Would come again for certain!

Overall we had a decent stay. It’s a more affordable accommodation in the area but for the money we paid, I would have expected just a slightly more elevated room than what it was. Generally clean, but it needed some updates. You could tell things were half updated but the shower and sink area really needs some updating. Wish they used some kind of mattress protector, I hate when hotels just tuck in a loose sheet right on the bare mattress. Laundry facilities were free and modern though, very convenient.
I have stayed here twice now and love this hotel!
The staff are friendly, it has the best location out of all the hotels in Ayers Rock resort, right next to the main square and it is always clean and tidy.
The only ‘downside’ is that your tours do not pick you up outside, you have to walk to Sails in the Desert. This is literally a 2 minute walk though so no real issue.
The fact that it has a pool is also a real selling point as most of the other accommodation does not.
I am not sure if I will ever visit Ayers Rock Resort again in the future, but I do know this is where I will be staying if I do!

It was ok. No windows to look through. The light coming through the bathroom windows at night was enough to read a book by.
