"The Ryokan has an excellent location at the seaside with many good restaurants near by. Japanese breakfast was delicious and there was a beautiful inner garden . It is conveniently located right by the bike path connecting to the Shimanami Kaido and a short walk from the Ferry / Cycle boat to Onomichi. The hosts were very friendly and went above and beyond to help me with luggage shipping . The hotel facilitates luggage transportation between hotels and the Ryokan is affiliated with Sagawa luggage services, which is very convenient in case you want to bike luggage free. It is an old building but very clean and there is quite a bit of charm with an Old Japan feeling . Highly recommend !"

"We love the Green Hill Hotel in Onomichi. It is close to the main Arcade and dining options are numerous. We always went to the Cycle Hotel for breakfast, where you can get great pastries, coffee, and hot chocolate. The best okonomiyaki we ever had was in Onomichi at Cafe Murata, located a couple of arcades away. It's easy to take a cable car up the mountain and see the Onomichi City Museum of Art. The working harbor makes it worthwile to order a room on the harbor side. "

"Charming hillside hotel with fantastic views. The room was spacious, clean, modernised with the exception of the bathroom which is still more of a traditional, dated Japanese bathroom, however, it was still very clean and of course functioning well. The Japanese breakfast in the morning was very lovely, accompanied by great views again. The lobby has a cafe where they do great latte art. There’s also a letter room where you can print photos and send letter which was a nice touch. Overall I really enjoyed my stay. One note of caution, this really is a hillside hotel, we initially planned to walk because google map says it was 16 minutes but it would be quite a trek up hill with very narrow paths so driving / taxi would be the way to go and there’s a taxi rank at the station which would be about a 10 mins journey and <1500 yen. "

"The room was wonderful and clean. But the pillows were very thin. You need to get softer, thicker pillows. Everything else was great. We will stay there again if we are ever back that way. "

"We had one of the tents, which was very comfortable and unique. Excellent staff, and the dinner served outside our tent on a private BBQ was incredible. Also the best breakfast we had in Japan. We rode from Onomichi almost all the way to Imabari, then turned around and rode to Wakka, getting there by 4 pm (good decision because it started to sprinkle rain.) We did not need to use the shared shower because of the (included) entry to the nearby onsen which was full of only local families, so a truly authentic experience. And getting up at night to use the bathroom nearby was actually not a problem either."
