Sunscape Cancun All-Inclusive Resort & Spa by Hyatt
10/10 Excellent
"I was initially skeptical after reading some reviews, but the resort exceeded expectations and is extremely family-friendly. The biggest highlight is the pool setup: one large main pool plus several smaller pools with fun slides for kids. Our child swam twice a day and loved every minute. There’s also a well-run kids club, though we barely used it because the pools were such a hit. Food and drinks were another standout. The buffet offers excellent variety and consistently tasty food. The coffee shop serves great coffee and high-quality baked goods, and there’s even a candy and ice cream shop open throughout the day. In addition to the main buffet, the resort has Asian, Italian, and Mexican restaurants, all serving excellent and tasty dinners. They’re only open in the evening, but getting there around 6:30 pm avoids any wait. The staff were consistently courteous, flexible, and eager to help. The resort also keeps guests entertained with volleyball, yoga, water aerobics, beach games, and excellent nightly shows including a magic show, which was very good! The one thing that was a problem was that there was a lot of sea-weed in the beach waters but that is a problem for the whole Cancun coastline and affects all hotels and it doesn't seem like it can be humanly fixed. So if you love to swim in beach waters then I'd recommend going after September when the sea-weed subsides. Other than that the drinks are definitely watered down so ask for double shots :)."

Ocean Riviera Paradise All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Overall, the trip was pretty good. The food was all inclusive, but some restaurants were better than others. It was hard to get salt. With it being seaweed season, the staff did a pretty good job with cleaning so we could enjoy the beach. The restaurant schedule for some places were off so when they were supposed to be open, they were closed which restricted dining options if you weren’t staying in Privilege. The gym was nice but my sister was told she had to wear sneakers to come in, but while I worked out later, 2 men were in there without sneakers. The cleaners towards the second half of our trip were phenomenal! Absolutely stunning, and the waiters and bartenders were kind. We loved having the pool outside our room! We got in every day and the disco was definitely my favorite amenity! We got to dance and drink knowing we weren’t far from our room. There was an adults only part of the resort and next time I’d like to explore that side more."

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort
6/10 Okay
"Good Experience Our stay at the Royalton was overall very good. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our trip. The restaurants were excellent — the food quality and cleanliness there were great, which is why we preferred dining at the restaurants every day instead of the buffet. The café was also amazing and became one of our favorite spots. The nightly entertainment and events were spectacular. Families with kids will never get bored here because there are so many activities. The water park and splash pad were absolutely amazing for children. The spa experience was also wonderful and very relaxing. Bad Experience Unfortunately, we had a really bad experience with the excursion booked through Resort. It honestly felt like a scam. The transportation provided was very poor and uncomfortable. They also failed to disclose beforehand that they would be stopping at multiple resorts for pickups. From 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, we were only going around picking up other families, which wasted a huge part of the day. The tour guide was nice and polite, but not knowledgeable at all. The cenote they took us to was dirty and poorly maintained — definitely not what was advertised or expected. To make things worse, lunch was provided extremely late, around 6 PM. Another disappointing part of the resort was the buffet cleanliness. The plates often looked dirty, and the glasses at the bars were not cleaned properly either. This is something the resort seriously needs to improve."

Hotel Riu Palace Las Americas - Adults Only- All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"Stayed here four nights for sons graduation party with friends. It is in a nice location and you are able to use the amenities at the other Riu resorts. Pound for pound this is probably the best value you can get for an all inclusive Carribean style vacation. The food was actually decent and they pour decent alcohol like Patron. Piano player in lounge and night entertainment like silent disco or live bands were outstanding. I found the area easy walking to Senor Frogs/Coco Bunga and safe. Only rub I had was the mattress was pretty bad and the shower wont hold a constant temperature. The place is close to needing a refresh but great staff and cleanliness made up for it"

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun - All-inclusive
6/10 Okay
"We have been to the moon palace, the grand, three years in a row. This trip was by far the worst one we’ve ever went on. First off, a lot of their policies have changed for Expedia OneKey members. Since we travel so much, we usually have the upgrade available which was not given to us, even though we had the email from Moon Palace stating it would be given to us. They stated that their policy changed and no longer provide upgrade (even though Moon Palace literally emailed me the upgrade!!!). Second, our room had so many issues. Tv not working, towels not stocked, AC shutting down. We had to call maintenance and room service multiple times throughout our stay to address the issues. Lastly, the resort was OVER RUN by a bunch of elementary kids who were local graduates. These kids DESTROYED the resort vibe. They were so rude, cutting in line, destroying furniture, at one point, they hit our son with a golf ball inside the mini golf course. It was horrible! Not to mention the pools had these kids and their obnoxious families everywhere! I hate to do this comparison, but They (the kids) were like roaches everywhere you go, you couldn’t go somewhere without 40-50 of them surrounding you. All the families who wanted to have a nice relaxing vacation were all complaining about the same thing. We really wanted to sign up to be an Elite member this trip but after our most recent experience, I am sad to say, we will no longer be coming to the Moon Palace……"
