I absolutely loved everything about this little motel, especially where it was located! One thing that was frustrating was that my code to enter never worked and I had to call the main office to open the door every time I needed to get in.
A very cute remodeled, motel just outside of an adorable town. Everything was clean and we had access to extra towels and coffee. I would've just liked to have had control of my heat. It got rather warm so we were just able to turn on the air. It was very quiet and quaint. I would return.
One of the coolest little out-of-the way places we have stayed. Super-easy check in, clean, quaint, quiet…I could go on. It is a little outdated in the bathroom design (shower is old) but seriously loved it there. The town was amazing!
Cute and convenient for a last-minute trip to yellow Springs to see Wyclef Jean and Dave Chappelle!
Way closer than staying in Dayton or Springfield! Yellow Springs and it’s people are terrific!
The room wasn’t clean when we checked-in; however, after we called to complain, they came to clean the room and did a great job. Apparently there was a mix up in scheduling, as none of the rooms were cleaned. People were sitting outside waiting for their rooms to be cleaned. Those who booked through the motel’s site received a 30% discount; however, they couldn’t offer a discount to those who used a third-party booking agency.

Live termite under the pillow
The room appeared clean when I walked in. Lifted the pillows to put down my pillow from home and out walks a live insect identified as a Formosan Subterranean Termite.I have an app to identify. After that horrible find, I looked around the small room and found a dead firefly and a spider web with a live spider in the bathroom. The live termite was enough for me. I left ASAP and won’t be back.

Cute Concept that Needs Work and Spring Cleaning
We travel long distance for work. After a long morning of packing and riding for hoursand hours in the car we opted to stay in the town of Yellow Springs Ohio. Finding the Springs Motel to be a cute throwback to the 50s type stay we opted to spend the night. Entering through a door that swings out we were shocked to see a very tiny and hot room. Our room contained one double bed with two windows above our heads, a desk and chair with a television, and a mini refrigerator with a small coffee pot and supplies. There is a wall air conditioning unit and a small bathroom with a window. After shooing off several stink bugs and managing the air conditioning unit we opted for a shower and a good night's sleep. Getting into bed my husband commented on the small circular pattern on the mattress. Once in bed and after hours of tossing and turning and listening to the loud rattling air conditioning unit we came to the realization that we were sleeping on bedsprings. Needless to say it was a hot, uncomfortable, and sleepless night for us. Overall the room appears to be clean but clearly there are items that need much attention. The coffee pot and fridge were gummy, the air conditioning unit blew a cloud of dust went first turned on, and we found mold behind the bathroom door. The Springs Motel needs a deep deep spring cleaning and new mattresses. Heck even if the bed had been comfortable we would have been able to deal with all of the other inconsistencies.
We really just needed a place to sleep for the night, the trip was riding the Little Miami trail. The room was very clean, easy access to uptown Yellow Springs. Ellie's restaurant was perfect for breakfast. The Gulch was the funnest bar

The overall upkeep was very good. The water pressure was inadequate. They had a plumber on site working on an issue but even after that, the water pressure wasn't good. Other than that I would have given 5 stars.
Nobody there to check in was a bit unusual but it was manageable.
Overall a cute little throw back kind of a motel.
The stay was excellent until the morning. I woke up to find we had no cold water and just a drizzle of lukewarm water in place of hot water. There was no way to flush the toilet without cold water.
Room was clean. It had plenty of towels, a coffee maker and fridge. Just what someone needs without all the extras. Easy to get to Downtown Yellow Springs. Also close to several hiking trails. I liked the keyless entry. Female, solo traveler and I felt safe while there. Will return again
