We do have a full-time Innkeeper living on site, a breakfast attendant to help with your plans for the day, and a knowledgeable bartender as well as a guest service attendant in the evening. We are sorry to hear that your stay at Chapter House did not meet your expectations. As a property comprised of buildings constructed in the 1800s, there are certainly design styles found here that would not necessarily be used today. During your stay the Inn was actually quite full thus when you were dissatisfied with your original room, we did not have the flexibility for a complimentary upgrade which would have been the case for a room in the Main House versus a room in the Carriage House - despite bed type. We promote our property as a family owned and operated Inn in lovely Yarmouth Port, MA and all that a historic Inn property has to offer. The idiosyncrasies of an old house are what we feel gives it its charm. With regard to your experience at the fire pit, we cover the patio furniture at night- if it's not being used -so that in the morning it is not wet with dew or rain so that you and other guests can enjoy it during breakfast. Jim certainly wasn't implying that you needed to vacate the area - you were enjoying a beautiful night by the fire pit! It was agreed that you would simply turn the pit off when you were ready leave. Again, we are sad to hear that you weren't happy with your stay. We wish you a happy rest of the year and all the best in 2022

Your travel agent should have the listing and perhaps something over there may better suit your needs

We are sorry to hear about your unsatisfactory stay at Chapter House. With regard to your bathroom, the Inn was at full capacity so we were unable to offer an alternative room for you. Upon your departure we learned that a tooth brush had been flushed down the toilet- had we known that initially we would have been able to rectify the matter sooner and in a more efficient manner during your stay. As is published on our website and advised to Travel Agents and guests prior to arrival, we are still honing our operations but we do appreciate your feedback re. the lighting and check in procedures.
