Excellent service and facilities! There is no musky smell and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The room and view are gorgeous. Definitely recommended for anyone looking to explore around yangon.

Apart from superb decoration and uniqueness of this hotel, it is quite clean and provides better amenities than most hotels in this price range. There are also con, of course, it is a bit far from downtown and you have to rely on taxi just to get decent food. Then again, given its location on the river, it is a double edge sword. Restaurant menu is nothing to write home about. I wish they offer traditional ethic food than Indian and water down Western food. Staff are friendly once they realize you are a guest.

General speaking, it is good and worth for money spent. We had a little uncomfortable as several mosquitos were in the room and could not slerp well. It probably due to ghe opening of balcony door during day time. Should have asked staff to eliminate the problem during the night as they have electric Mosquito killer. Otherwise, they stay was good. Staff were freindly. Breakfast has enough variety.

Little bit inconvenienced location
It was no walking distance from city and when take a taxi, always extra pay for entry that hotel area. Inside hotel is very nice interior and able to well relax with water from the window. Many choices of buffet breakfast but unfortunately big Chinese group were noisy and made a darty so it was killing our appetite. Hotel staffs were very nice and good help for all.

The hotel is not conventional, is decorated as an old ship, it is difficult to move around and taxi drivers don’t know how to go to the hotel because is inside the pier.

Superb service!!
Amazing service! We checked out and went to Bagan with night bus and we returned on the last day. The hotel allowed us to store our luggage there so we didn't have to carry it all around until late afternoon. They also offer to reserve a grab for us instead of taxi because it's cheaper. The spa was great as well. Staff are all friendly and very helpful overall we very much enjoyed our stay here and would recommend to group travelers. Location is convenient as well and if you're an early bird you can even view the sunrise on the side of the deck!

Unique experience-- worth a stay!
I really enjoyed my stay at the Vintage Luxury Yacht hotel. I stayed on Christmas Eve and was happy with my Deluxe room with private balcony-- I'd recommend the water view as the city view isn't as attractive. I enjoyed the dinner menu options (bufalino pizza was especially good), but was only moderately impressed with the buffet b'fast-- some items were cold, and the ambience was rather lacking... my room was really spacious and comfortable though, and I really liked the vintage feel of the ship. I'd definitely recommend staying for a night or two!

Intriguing hotel
More Steam Punk than 1920's chic but set in an interesting part of riverside Yangon with both river and road links to downtown. The background music rather too loud and not exactly Palm Court 1920's. Breakfast a bit dried out but other food good. Overall a good experience.

No double on check in as requested through expedia, but staff were very friendly and helpful and would have moved us to a double the next night if we had wanted. Allowed us a late checkout. Very grateful, Thank you. Shower curtain looking a bit old and weathered. Probably clean but bathroom could do with a refresh.

On the river, but hard to enjoy the view
I booked the hotel mainly to be close to the river. It was disappointing because tho I was on the river there was no pleasant place to sit and enjoy the view on the boat (there was a separate place outside). I got a room with balcony, inicially, but there was no view; so I had yo upgrade it. No furniture on the balcony. The restaurant is inside, no view. Outside, you also have to stand to overlook the water. The furniture is cool, but the room has a funny smell, the bathrooms are OK, but on my 2nd day it took really a long time for the water to warm up, the showe head is great tho. I guess if you don't care much about the river it is an OK ecperience.

Try it, you will love it!
I strongly recommend this yacht hotel. Converted former in Finland built cruise-yacht, very original. Area is nice, with one of the main pagodas at 5 minute walk, and plenty of good streetfood at night. Also just next to the new waterbus terminal. Staff is great! Rooms are spacious and their balcony to the riverside offers unique views. Very good real professional massage and spa onboard. Breakfast was good.

1920s Are Back!
A delightful stay with the family. This boat hotel is themed in a tasteful manner bringing to mind old nautical nostalgia and glitzy exuberance of the 1920s. Great for parties, family, couples, and staycationers. Also a great place to have dinner, a drink, and some music.

A novelty hotel which is fun to stay in.
Great staff, especially concierge Ei Ei Chew, who are all very helpful. The rooms are fun, but the hotel is a bit of a walk from anywhere. Some people might need to catch a taxi if they aren't up to a 10 minute walk in the heat. The food in the restaurants was excellent and a reasonable price with wide range of choice. My only negative would be the room and bathroom lighting is too dark. It is atmospheric, which is part of the fun, but an optional bright light in the bathroom is needed for makeup/shaving.

Quirky hotel on the river.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and meals in the restaurant were excellent. Disappointed that hotel facilities were all booked for functions on Saturday night, so we needed to look for somewhere else to eat.

Novelty and nice staff but room for improvement
It was a novelty to stay here. They have improved from what previous reviews have said with the damp smell with numerous dehumidifiers in the hall ways. I was concerned about bite marks that came up a few days after our stay though and have had to thoroughly give everything a very hot wash.

If you want something different then this hotel can be an option. It looks like a ship with cabins converted into a floating hotel. Its situated on the east end of Yangon along the container port next to Botahtuang Pagoda. Try to get a room facing the river if not you will be facing a bunch of 20 foot containers. Checkin is on the 3rd level. There are restaurants on the 5th deck where breakfast is served. Breakfast is ok. I was actually expecting somehing better given the price paid for the room and I am talking about Yangon standard. Only the egg station was up to par. On 2 occasions I found the fruit platers stale. Do take note that the hotel is docked on the waters. So getting anywhere is by Taxi. Getting a taxi can be a challenge. So you have to walkout to the main road. All said it was a comfortable stay. The room has all the amenities one needs such as lcd TV, hair dryer and fridge.

Good Experiences!!!
I stayed there for three nights. Even though I arrived there very early in the morning (@1:30Am) due to my flight arrival, they did allow me early check-in (free of charge). The staffs are very friendly and humble. They are always ready to help their guests. The breakfast in the Hotel is very delicious. In the morning, it is a good time to catch the very fresh air from the river and the beautiful view of Yangon city from the hotel. If you want to experience the very best of Burmese hospitality with beautiful view of Yangon river and the city, it is the place you should check in.

Different Experience
Lovely old-charm atmosphere. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Excellent attentive staff. A little bit far away from the centre of town, but walkable and taxi readily available. Street food stalls on the wharf and nice market area. If a river view is important to you, request the starboard side ~ otherwise you will be looking at the containers on the wharf instead of the interesting river activity. Special commendation to Benjamin who went out of his way to assist us with ticketing, confirmations, etc.

A fun and interesting experience. A lot of effort has gone into creating a vintage look and experience that is fascinating. All staff are extremely friendly and try very hard to help. There was a festival in the car park nearby which was fun and interesting, with lots of street food. There is a temple right there too. The hotel is a good walk/little far from other major attractions but taxis are numerous and inexpensive.

Recommended for a night or two in Yangon
Nice, quirky hotel. Ask for a room on the river side as the landward side is not vert attractive. Restaurant is very good. Staff very friendly.

It's okay.
I love the idea of staying in a yacht with vintage furniture. That's about everything I liked about this hotel. Non-existent view unless you like the view of either the dock or of the murky river. Service is at most sub par. Reception asked me if I needed help with my luggage at check in instead of just helping.??? Made me feel like she was doing me a favor even though helping with luggage is kind of given thing to do. Also, the rooms don't have queen size beds. A room with a queen bed is basically 2 single beds pieced together. And they don't even have the courtesy to make the bed together with a bigger bed sheet ( its LITERALLY 2 small beds put side by side). I had to request specifically for a bed that was made with 1 big bed sheet (still 2 small beds joined together) and was as a result downgraded to a room with the view of the dock with workers walking by my room. Overcharged for everything. Taxi to airport costs 12,000 (market price is 7000). Come on, almost double the price?! Really? Also, the restaurant staff shortchanged me. I get it, it's a few cents to me, however it's my pet peeve to be given exact change and then choosing to whether to leave it for them or not. It's a matter of principle. Also service charge of 10% was already included. The included breakfast was excellent though I have to say. I would recommend this hotel for its uniqueness. But honestly, it really is nothing special.

No regrets
Staying at this hotel was an amazingly special experience. River view from room balcony was quite a sight. Good buffet breakfast-- do try the traditional Burmese soup noodle and add lots of spices and other ingredients like dried fish which are provided on the side. It is very yummy. Dinner at the restaurant was also quite good (caveat: the cuisine style is more international than local. Btw, their fish curry was delicious. ). We had our first meal in Myanmar there. For travelers who want to sample the local taste, there are plenty of food stalls right outside the hotel.

vintage hotel with luxury view
Hotel was decorated with many vintage furniture and located in the river, it seem like we stay in Titanic. Room was nice, clean and complete with facilities. Hotel staff was very helpful.
