"We felt the warm hospitality from Marsu from the moment we step out of the Xincheng Station. Owner Horace was very kind to pick us up from the station and offered help with our luggage. "We were in this hotel when the big earthquake hit (epicenter about 10 miles south) and it was very scary. The hotel staff were so nice and calming and reassuring. they got right to work cleaning up all the broken stuff and checking all rooms and reassuring people. Then when it was discovered there was damage to the water tank and there would be no water in the guestrooms they found us another place to stay so we were perfectly comfortable and cared for. "This was an incredible gem of a place. Our host was so friendly and accomdating and drove us around to train stations and dinner since the area is remote. There's a remote beach a few steps away and with literally no one who visits it's very tranquil. The breakfast was delicious!"
