"I had a very enjoyable stay at AHORN Harz Hotel Braunlage. The location is ideal for exploring the Harz mountains, and the views from the room were lovely. The room itself was clean and comfortable, though a bit dated in style. Breakfast was varied and tasty, with something for everyone. Staff were helpful and friendly, and there were plenty of amenities like the pool and sauna to enjoy after a day of hiking. "Fantastic place. Not fancy, but clean, friendly and just a great stay! Restaurant closed Mondays, but a nearby restaurant "Klippe" took care of us:-) after dark, we had to figure out to use the side door with our key card, but got it to work. Breakfast was great, staff amazing. Ate at restaurant the next day and it was fabulous! Also- the 'conference room' area has an honorary system: take a snack, beer or wine and deposit some cash into a little piggy bank! Love it!!!!"

"Pension Barbara is a very cosy and clean pension right next to the paths leading up to The Brocken. The hostess was very sweet and attentive, and we had a good stay. Schierke as a town is a bit dated and quiet in the autumn, when we visited. Is was difficulty to find a place to just have a couple of drinks etc. The national park, Brocken and paths are all excellent for a short hiking-holiday. Great nature, chalenging paths (if you want it), nice restaurant on the summit."

"Rigtig pæn og ren lejlighed. Sengene var meget behagelige (også sovesofaen). Der manglede dog nogle større knive (brødkniv mm.) i køkkenet, men det er også det eneste “negative” omkring hele lejligheden. Parkeringen var nem og gratis, med parkering lige ude foran. Kan kun anbefales. "
