If it's your first time travelling during COVID-19, you'll notice a host of new rules and regulations in place. Take note of these tips and make your getaway to Wittow Peninsula go off without a hitch:

• Research the rules and restrictions in both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check government advisories before booking.
• Wear a face mask even during airport screening. A TSA employee will require you to lower your mask temporarily to verify your identity.
• To minimize the risk of cross-contamination, position your boarding pass on the scanner yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your boarding pass directly to a TSA officer.
• TSA now permits passengers to take one container of hand sanitizer, up to 12 oz (350 ml) in size, in carry-on baggage. This will need to be removed from your bag at the X-ray machine for screening.
• To reduce handling during the screening process, place personal items such as your phone, wallet and keys into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• If you're taking food through security screening, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a screening bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA officer will need to touch your carry-on bag or food container for closer inspection.
