Turned up for our honeymoon to find that it had gone into administration. Had to find somewhere else to stay at very short notice. WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME THAT IT WAS CLOSED?

Not able to stay .Was not informed that hotel was in liquidation.Only found out because I called the hotel many times on the eve before my stay to politely remind them of my late arrival the next day.Eventually an irate person informed me of the situation. I AM NOT AT ALL ALL HAPPY

Pleasant polite and helpful staff. Breakfast excellent. Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. Comfy clean bed. The only downside was the bathroom needed attention. Would stay again.

Quiet Hotel In Need of Refurbisment

Room looks clean and tidy but on closer inspection you see that it is in need of a lot of tender loving care. The room at the top of the stairs is next to the staircase and the entrance door needs adjusting so it is not constantly banging closed when guest comes to bed at all hours of the night. The outside wall had damp coming through all across the wall at different levels some hidden behind the curtains. There was a note on the wall asking you NOT to use the hairdryer, if you need one contact reception?? The bathroom again, all the taps needed a good clean, particularly round the shower. I did not use the shower. The major problem was the mattress on the bed, it practically collapsed when I laid down, you could feel the springs coming through the thin sheet. Needless to say I did not get under the duvet but spent the night on top of the bed. I could not wait to leave, very disappointing.

Nice hotel in beautiful setting

Loved the hotel and the room but the bed was not very comfortable. Meals were limited but very good. Breakfast was very good

Needs a revamp!

The stay was OK, breakfast was very nice and served by a lovely friendly lady. The hotel is in a lovely location at the top of a lovely steep hill and next to a dry ski slope. Views are spectacular with lovely walks available. The rooms are dated and tired and in need of painting and upgrading, the same with reception. The curtains in my room had marks on them and there was no blind in the bathroom. Not sure if I would stay again

Lovely hotel

Nice hotel although a bit quiet but this would be very suitable for some. Very clean and comfortable with delicious food at a very reasonable price.

One night stay

Stayed here with my wife at the end of August, just a stop over as we traveled further south. The room we had was a good size however the bed was very uncomfortable as the mattress needed replacing. There were spiders webs in the bathroom so not cleaned properly for some time, the manager needs to speak to house keeping as they are not doing their job properly. Would be a nice place to stay for a day or two if they replaced and updated a few things.

Pleasant stop to break a journey

The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was quite small but clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The bed was comfortable but quite springy so not suitable if you are a person who needs a very firm bed for health reasons. The evening meal main course was tasty and well presented, we didn’t have starters or desserts. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order rather than left in containers, so was much nicer than in many hotels. The decor is very 1980s but is smart and the furnishings are clean.

A Pleasant Hotel

A pleasant stay in a quiet secluded hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable, although the ensuite bathroom was slightly tired. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. Just the place for a relaxing stay.

The hotel is in an ideal location if you like peace, tranquility and scenic views. The decor looked a bit tired but very clean and obviously well cared for. The staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful. The room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. Overall an excellent hotel that I would definitely recommend.
