I'm used to this city. So I consider it mine as a Manitoban. So I may be biased but I do actually love it. There's always so much to do in any season. The Arts. Music. Festivals. Outdoor fun. You name it.

Winnipeg is a laid back city, bit the infrastructur has not kept up with the population, and the roads are terrible - probably because of the extreme temps.

Came for the Santa Claus parade. Didn't want to get there too early with a 7 month old, but try and find a spot to watch the parade from if you don't get there early. Will have to come back when kids are a little older.

The downtown of Winnipeg can be a bit dirty, but has a couple good restaurants and coffee shops. There are little areas of the city that are trendy and good to visit.
"The hotel is undergoing major renovations. The restaurant closed at 10pm. These were negative things. However, the staff at the hotel are beyond amazing! Absolutely awesome! They go above and beyond and make up for the physical condition of the hotel. Despite the scaffolding and drilling that started at 8am each morning, I'd stay there again because of the staff. Excellent!"
"The bed was very comfortable. It was a little disappointing that the AC unit wasn’t great. There was a power outage while I was there and they brought up pails of ice for my dog which was really great (thanks manager Steven). "
