"Nice clean hotel on a main road very close to the Chalet Cheese Chop - great place! Ask for Tony and see if he will yodel for you! Delightful. There arecalso multiple restaurants from fast to sit down, a Dunkin (yay) and other things nearby. Good place to stay if in the area or going to New Glarus. The woman at the desk was so nice to open up the conference center for us so we could play cards/games. There is not an elevator, so if evrn a couple rounds of stairs are difficult for you, ask for first floor. We appreciated the microwave and fridge, but wish we had a coffee maker in the room. The breakfast was just meh."
"Okay, so I really wanted to like this hotel. It's a midcentury building, and there are still some midcentury details that are honestly so cute and charming--like the ceiling in my room was just gorgeous. The orange and beige vinyl space-age couches in the lobby are stunning if a bit worn. My room had a patio and shared a fenced-in yard with the other rooms on my side/floor, and it was nice because my very active toddler was able to run around a little without running off. The beds were very comfortable, the sheets were clean and soft, and the staff were very nice.
Aside from the beds, though, this place is dirty. If you wear bare feet in the rooms, your feet will be black with dirt. I didn't trust the bathtub enough to bathe my son in it, and we actually ended up not even showering there and just waiting until the next place. The first room they gave us had a patio door that didn't unlock, but nor did it really close securely, so it was unusable as a patio door AND kinda felt like someone might break in through it if they didn't mind damaging it (they did move us to another room). The floorboards were very dirty, the fridge smelled, everything but the beds just looked gross. There are sketchy people hanging around who seem drugged out.
We booked two nights. We didn't really need two nights, we needed one night and a very late checkout, but we considered staying a second night initially since we booked it. We ended up not feeling comfortable staying a second night and left."
"Upon check-in, I informed the front desk staff that I was sorry in advance and that there was a baseball team coming to stay for the weekend. I was greeted with a less than warm response, saying they’re better not be any loud noise and she doesn’t want to deal with any complaints. The pool chlorine was so strong that we needed to prop the door open because the boys eyes were burning and again the front desk woman with was not very friendly. when we left for the day for baseball the housekeeping would not clean one of my beds because there was a towel on it. This is ridiculous. Not to mention the room smelled like weed. will not stay here again. There was one staff member who was extremely friendly but the woman with the dark hair was terrible. Clearly this tournament happens every year and the staff should be prepared and welcoming.
Also the place had zero lighting. Could barely see down the hallways."
"The room was very clean, parking was adequate, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was just OK, not great. The rooms are a little pricey, but they can get away with charging that price because there are few options in Savanna."
"The first day was not so good. Was put in an accesible king room for handicapped. Smelled musty & made my allergies asthma bad. Requested another room which was better."
"The lady who checked us in was extremely helpful, pleasant, and friendly. We asked about moving to a room on the river side. She was willing to show us 2 different rooms"
