最初に足を踏み入れた瞬間から、この施設を去るまで全てが満足と感動の連続です。 舗装されていない道を抜けると、カンガルーが優しい表情で出迎えてくれ、素敵な景色と夜空と大事な人との時間をこれでもかというくらい、「さりげなく」演出してくれる素晴らしい施設でした。 ホテルにお願いした夕食、Sea food platter、ふんわり絶妙に仕上げられたパン。 自然と同化出来る最高の旅がそこにはありました。 プライベートビーチの水の美しさ、絶景を眺めながらのジャグジー、眼下に広がるパノラマの景色。最高です！

Everything was great, except didn't take any add-ons as the prices were just prohibitive. Advice: I'm not sure who would pay $20 per head for cooked breakfast items that they have to cook themselves....

Extraordinary

The Retreat was amazing. Amazing view from every room including the bathrooms. Above average cleanliness, extremely well thought out space, tastefully decorated, very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms with excellent appliances. The food was very very good and we looked forward to every meal. Staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful even giving us a free lift. We had the pleasure of meeting the owners that told us all about the area and had a great day trip on the secret seals tour. We really couldn't fault it, 3 nights not nearly enough time to fully absorb this extra special place. We will return.

Secluded getaway.

Very relaxing stay. Kangaroos on view all the time. We wanted a quiet peaceful getaway and that's what we enjoyed at Sea Dragon. I would recommend Casuarina Cottage where we stayed as it has a hot tub and a wonderful view.

Nature at its best!

We could not have asked for a more perfect place to stay 3 nights while we explored Kangaroo Island. After a comfortable hour drive from the airport we arrived before sunset in time to enjoy our delicious, hot pre-ordered dinner on our villa patio with views of playful kangaroos and the ocean. We spent our days exploring the island, easily making our way back in time to enjoy walking the property and down to the beach before dinners on our patio. The villa was immaculate, comfortable and well stocked. 5 star accommodations nestled in nature. We can't wait to return.

Flott hotell med utmerket service!

Vi bodde i en Deluxe ocean view suite, og herfra hadde vi en fantastisk utsikt mot havet. Suiten var stor og velutstyrt, samt renslig og godt vedlikeholdt. Vi hadde i tillegg en stor balkong. Merk at eventuell middag må forhåndsbestilles et par uker før, og denne blir tilberedt av eierne. Vi hadde to middager her, og begge smakte fantastisk! Frokost står klart på kjøkkenet i suiten, og man finner selv frem maten når man ønsker å spise. Fra ferjekaien til hotellet brukte vi ca. 30 minutter med bil, men som følge av at deler av veien er grusvei, hvilket også gjelder mange andre steder på øyen, anbefaler jeg en 4WD-bil. Fra hotellet kan man fint rekke over de store attraksjonene på øyen på en dag, men skal man oppleve øyen skikkelig bør man selvsagt ha mer enn en dag. Paret som driver hotellet er svært serviceinnstilte og hyggelige! Her føler man seg velkommen!

Einzigartige Lokation mit grandiosem Meerblick

Fernab touristischer Ströme etwas abgelegene, aber gut zu erreichende Traum-Destination mit drei sehr komfortablen Lodges, in denen es an nichts fehlt (von der Nespresso Maschine, dem Weber-Grill und bis zu einem reichlich gefüllten Kühl- und Vorratsschrank). Traumhafter Blick aufs Meer mit Zugang zu eigenem Strand mitten in der Natur zw Kangaroos und anderen Wildtieren. Der Besitzer Steve kümmert sich mit Herz und Seele um die Gäste und ihre Anliegen.

Gemütliche Lodge mit traumhaftem Ausblick

Wir haben uns in dieser Lodge total wohl gefühlt. Es ist fast so, als wäre man bei Freunden zu Besuch. Die Einrichtung ist gemütlich und behaglich. Der Ausblick von der Veranda, die entlang der kompletten Seite zum Wasser verläuft, ist sagenhaft. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Haupthaus mit Meerblick und waren damit sehr zufrieden. Außerdem kocht Steve ganz lecker. Wenn das Kaminfeuer knistert, draußen die Kängurus über das große Anwesen hüpfen und man gemeinsam mit Steve, dem Hausherrn, und anderen netten Gästen das köstliche Abendessen genießt, dann muss man sich einfach wohlfühlen. P.S. Mit etwas Glück kann man von der Veranda aus sogar Wale beobachten!

Ein kurzer, aber sehr schoener Aufenthalt!

Die Sea Dragon Lodge liegt wunderbar einsam in Fussnaehe von Cape Willoughby. Von der Terrase, die allen Gaesten zugaenglich ist, hat man einen wunderschoenen Blick auf eine kleine private Bucht und das Festland. Steve ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber (Host) und bereitet auf Wunsch herrliches Abendessen zu. Die Atmosphaere in der Sea Dragon Lodge ist sehr ungezwungen und easy. Alle Gaeste sitzen gemeinsam an einem grossen Tisch beim Abendessen. Fruehstueck ist buffet style und auch sehr reichlich.

What else could one ask for?

The Sea Dragon is a great place to stay. The location on top of a bluff with a fantastic view of the sea is just wonderful. Steve, the proprietor, couldn't be nicer. Wildlife abounds. And you have your own private beach. What else could one ask for?
