Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
This hotel is convenient to Busch gardens and colonial Williamsburg. The lobby is ok, the dining room for breakfast is aesthetically pleasing but past that it is a trip back in time. To start with I hope the hotel is being revitalized but I am sharing from my family experience. The hallways are dark and dingy with some flickering light ambience. The exterior entrance door by the hallway did not work. Entering the room the carpets and lamps feel like someone went to a 80s or 90s garage sale and bulk bought. The beds were pure spring and were not comfortable. Isn’t the point of hotels to provide comfortable beds. The TV was smaller and I was relieved at least that it wasn’t a CRT TV like the pictures. Still, a bulk buy from Wyndham can easily put modern screens in. Lighting in the room is dingy and several bulbs were not working. Reported to desk and nothing was done. Shower water head and pressure was ok once I adjusted a few knobs. The water pressure for the sink was great for warm but horrible for cold. The sliding door was terrible. Very tough to open and the drapes were torn before we got there on the back side of them. We have a dog that travels with us and we used the door a lot. Took two of us to lift and slide the door open a few times. We checked the track to make sure it was clear of debris. Moving on past the room, the included breakfast has been well phrased in the description but falls short on follow through. Not recommending this place unless they close & update
