"We arrived before check-in from the US, and the team did a great job arranging an early check-in for us. The bed was very comfortable, the room was impeccable, and the hotel was very quiet. Unfortunately, my husband broke his wrist during our stay while hiking. Not only was the German healthcare system excellent, but the staff did a great job accommodating our extra night’s stay. "
"Amazing!! It’s right at the top of funicular train from town, so easy to get to town or back from town. Plenty of parking if you drive and amazing, truly amazing views!! The hiking is top notch down to the Castle, recommend the funicular back up. Rooms are gorgeous, clean, simple, with warm and cozy bedding and towels. Hit the sauna for a very warm warm up. "
"This is a beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The rooms may not have the most modern amenities but they are comfortable and the view from my window was unbeatable. The service at the front desk was attentive and informative.
Note that the hotel faces a very popular street and it can be loud with people until very late at night and again in the morning during trash pick up. The windows block most of the sound, but I prefer to have the fresh air with windows open.
The one downside was the breakfast. Expedia said it would be free, but I was charged for it. Breakfast began at 8:00am, but when I went down at 8:30am the eggs were cold. The egs were also flavored like the bacon which is troubling when you are someone who does not eat pork.
Go for the fantastic location and service. Don't go for the food.
Americans should note that the hotel is not air conditioned. "
"The hotel was very modern. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The rooftop breakfast area and bar was very nice. I would stay here again if attending a conference at the congress centre. "
"Although we only stayed overnight, the hotel was both convenient and comfortable, with a professional and pleasant staff, excellent parking and an overall comfortable feel. The room looked brand new, as did the rest of the property. The location was wonderful, easily accessible by car and only a few tram stops from old town. We would definitely stay here again."
