Ideal one night stop on our way to Northland. Our room was lovely with dual aspect windows and a balcony.

A really comfortable stay in this spotlessly clean (l've never seen such a shiney stainless steel sink!!) Motel. The laundry was really handy and the room was extremely comfortable with all the amenities we needed.

Beautiful area. Wonderful grounds and views. Large well equipped and comfortable accommodation, but sea views very different in different suites, some much more dramatic than others. Steep walks down to private beaches but plenty of beautiful beaches within short drive. WIFI VERY POOR!

We had a had a great room. It was very quiet. Exactly what we needed for a stopover 1 night stay.

Very helpful staff, excellent room with spa bath and superb breakfast.

The hotel is in a great location staff all very friendly and helpful. Bar closes stupid early at 9 if it’s not busy and only found out you can order from the night porter when bar is closed half way through my stay. Food is good, chef was prepared to do my scrambled egg how I like it. I would recommend staying here.

We've stayed in plenty of motels, apartments and hotels in NZ this past month, most arentired or have seen better days. But this spot was clean, felt new and is easily one of our best stays. Thanks to all the team who help keep it nice and clean, you're doing an excellent job. Appreciated the airocn and Netflix too.

Nice, did the job

Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Good location in centre of town. HINT make sure you specify parking requirements, basement car park has limited spaces and they are quite tight.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the area was good plenty of shops and places to eat nearby. The lodge was just what we needed our first date in New Zealand.

Ideal location, easy to find, ample parking, great staff. Plenty of space in room, well equipped with drawers and hangers. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. What's not to love!

Great location and great stay

Enjoyed our stay here. The accommodation is excellent and in a beautiful location. The hosts, Andrea and Mike, go out of their way to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The cottage was super clean, modern and equipped with everything you'd need. We'd have no hesitation in recommending it.

Second stay here; great reception, lovely traditional motor inn room, large and comfortable with balcony front & rear. Very clean and with all the equipment needed in kitchen & bathroom. Handy for town & local visitor attractions.

Nice quiet area, we had a little mishap with our car (the window got smashed) and the owners of the hotel were super helpful in temporarily fixing this, the hotel staff looked after us very well whilst we had to make various phone calls. I DO NOT want to deter people from booking this hotel due to the mishap, it happens and the hotel was very friendly to us.

The staff was extremely helpful when told we needed a ground floor room for easy access. The room was clean and well supplied with blankets and pillows. Good air con, the kitchen was supplied for cooking if so chosen, very good guest information to select eating places - Sal’s New York pizza was very good. Excellent shower. Superb value.
