"This is a relatively new boutique hotel. Check in is at the next door restaurant, which is really easy. Parking is easy, either in their lot across the street or on the street--they give you a parking pass good for all night. The room was beautiful. 15 foot ceilings, and a good bed. The bathroom even had a heater in it. There was no breakfast but you got a 10% reduction at their restaurant and the food was good. We had a balcony with a side view, so you could see the water. Ours was probably the only room that didn't have a good view. We'd stay here again."

"The room was comfortable. The continental breakfast was fine. Really this older; yet, refurbished motel was comfortable and clean. So, 5 star except for: would have liked a sheet change every 2 days; but, no sheet change during our 4 day stay, only 1 window to open in the unit, and couldn't since it had no screen, intermittently loud refrigerator had to be shut off at night. Didn't care for heavy bed spread, since doubted it was washed often. Otherwise, fabulous responsive owner, great location to downtown, parking right outside of the room, quiet lodgers, and access to highways to travel around NS."

"This a unique lodging with a shared full kitchen. The suite is quite large and ours had a fabulous balcony overlooking the boat harbor. It is pet friendly with plenty of parking in the back of the hotel. Would recommend it and stay there again"

"Our stay at the Brier Islland lodge was very nice. The room was comfortable if a bit sparse, but staying here is about enjoying the local hospitality and nature, so not about hanging out in the room. The food at the restaurant was great and the staff very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel for a trip to the Island. Whale watching was a great experience in late Sept and we thoruoghly enjoyed our day and a half there."

"We stayed in a Yurt and it was definitely GLAMPING!! We were really impressed with how modern, clean, and stylish it was. The only drawback was that it was close to a major road, so in the early morning we could hear trucks, which were very loud."
