"Loved this historic home— charming, spacious for our group of 7! Nice and close to downtown. Great homebase for our family wedding trip. Rapid City provided us a great home from which we explored the Badlands and Wall Drug, the Black Hills (Spearfish and Bridal Veil Falls), Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse monument, and even Devils Tower in Wyoming. All this and a wedding within 5 days! Thanks for a great home to warm up in after the chilly spring winds."

"the listing says you will have the property to yourself, it isn't true! the owners were living upstairs and they were home... when we got there, it looked like they weren't expecting us. patio furniture was tipped over, dirty dishes on the grill, some random garbage in the yard... there was no chain or lock on the inside so the owners had access to the unit at all times. didn't feel safe at all... we shared concerns with hotels.com and the owners and they didn't seem concerned at all about...

"Great stay at The Custer House! The house was very clean. The multiple bedrooms were able to accommodate all family members. Great location in Custer and the neighborhood was very quiet. We were able to get an early check-in. And, we saw deer nearby. Excellent all-round! Thanks much!"

"Comfortably fit our family of 6. Kitchen was nice and functional. Not much seating for eating but during warm weather, front porch would work good. WiFi and tv options were good. Easy location. Clean. "

"This cabin and its story is amazing. Everything you needed was there and more. Super clean, remote and a peaceful location to unwind after touring the Black Hills. Although it’s situated in the National Forest, it’s easy access from nearby Sturgis. Will be the only place I stay when going to the Black Hills area"

"We had a fantastic stay at the hideaway. It was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. We enjoyed not having to pack all the kitchen appliances, and we took advantage of the kitchen, cooking each night. We spent afternoons soaking up sunshine on the decks aftee hiking nearby trails. The location was perfect, so close to all the parks and monuments. It had everything we needed. We highly recommend!"
