"The hotel has a fantastic location right on the lake, and the property itself is certainly unique. However, several practical issues affected our stay. The rooms became very stuffy during the hot summer days, and since there is no air conditioning or fan in the room, it was difficult to cool them down at night. The windows also lack mosquito screens, which makes it hard to leave them open for air circulation. There are not many amenities to speak of, although the breakfast and the restaurant overall are very good and priced accordingly. Overall, while the property has a special charm and a beautiful lakeside setting, we felt that it did not offer particularly good value. We stayed for five days because we had a prepaid arrangement; otherwise, we probably would have moved to a different property. It is a unique place, but for us, three days would have been enough."

"JUFA Hotel Wangen im Allgäu was a clean, nice and modern looking hotel located in a quiet residential part of town with plenty of parking options (there are several parking lots). Next to the hotel there were sports fields (tennis courts and a football pitch) and the area is great for walking. There are several restaurants near the hotel (Asian restaurant, McDonald's, Burger King,...). We had a room with a double bed and a sofa and the size of the room was good. The bathroom was large, beautiful, modern and had a sufficient number of towels. The room and bathroom were clean. The staff were nice and helpful (thank you very much for the customer-oriented approach to guests). The breakfast was buffet style and offered a good selection of food and drinks. The breakfast was tasty. We enjoyed our visit. If we need accommodation in the area again in the future, this hotel will be our first choice."

"I was in need of a mental break, and the stay at Hotel JMS helped so much with that! It is located in such a beautiful part of Germany, with amazing views of the Allgau alpine region of Bavaria. That alone was worth the stay at this hotel. When I arrived, I was welcomed by very helpful staff. I was appreciative that one of the staff members spoke with me in English. Every time I would see a staff member, they would ask if I needed anything. Very helpful! The room was VERY clean. The bed was comfortable, especially for my bad back. :) There is a restaurant on-site. I had a very delicious funghi pizza. The portion was generous, and I felt very complete afterwards. Certainly a great dining option for the evenings. The morning breakfast was also very delicious. The only negative thing that I could think of for this hotel is that the room I specifically stayed in was next to the restaurant, so I could hear a lot of noise in the evenings. Thankfully, the noise didn't go past 9 or 10 pm, so it wasn't a big deal. However, if someone were an early sleeper, that specific room might not be the best for them. All in all, I would rate this a truly 10/10 experience. I'm even looking at booking a future trip with my family to enjoy time at this lovely hotel."

"The checking in hours are weired. The host was not accomodative and gave us a hard time with the car parking. The hotel location is remote from the island and works only if you have a car. The room was clean and nicely equiped, the complementary wine was appreciated."
