The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas and smelled nice. That’s where the positive ends. This place needs work. A light didn’t work, the body wash bottle was empty, the fitted sheet was too small for the bed, the wifi was useless, soda machine only took $1 bills, ironing board but no iron, the walls were so thin I could hear every word being said AND the snoring from next door. They still have the ancient wall mounted temp control units under the windows. It’s December in Iowa and the heat didn’t work. Worst of all was the noise. I had thought it was guests, and probably partly was, but now I believe it was staff. Kids left alone to run screaming through the halls, doors slamming constantly, someone had a pos vehicle parked right outside our room that they were constantly starting, revving, and just sitting in. If you’re needing sleep, this is NOT the place to go. We were in town for hunting but they refused to start breakfast a little early, where other hotels are happy to accommodate. Also just had a tiny old-fashioned coffee maker in the room and the entire fridge moved around when you opened it. We will never be back.
