"The hotel itself is decent, but the service is extremely disappointing. We had to repeatedly ask reception every day just to get water bottles in our room, and even then, they often didn’t deliver.
We also booked a fishing trip through the hotel for $720 USD. We showed up at the marina with our two children and waited, but the boat never arrived. When we followed up, we were told the captain had an accident the day before and couldn’t work. The hotel never informed us in advance, leaving us waiting there for nothing.
To make matters worse, getting a refund was a hassle. It took three weeks and a complaint through VISA before we finally got our money back. Due to currency exchange, we ended up losing about $50 CAD. I contacted the hotel about this, but they didn’t even bother to respond.
Overall, while the property is acceptable, the lack of communication and poor service made for a very frustrating experience."
