"I had an absolutely horrible experience here. So bad that even though I had a room booked through the weekend, I left at 5am on my first night. I wish I could’ve left sooner. My room was awful. The floors were disgusting, the shower had black mold in the tub, the shower curtain had many stains including blood, the toilet wasn’t clean, nor was the one towel I was given. The bed was horrible too. The blankets had holes in them like someone put out their cigarettes in them. The mattress was also hard as a rock. There was no remote for the tv, and the door looked like the cops had to beat it down at one point. The lock required heavy force to get it to work too. The place also smelled awful. I can’t even describe what it was. A mix of mold, mildew, cigarettes, meth, and weed. I also didn’t feel safe whatsoever. There were people living there and they were super sketchy. I was getting stared down and some nasty looks thrown my way. The only reason I stayed one night out of the weekend was because I couldn’t get another hotel room somewhere else. I slept with no blanket for maybe 2 hours and I was out of there. I didn’t know the room was non refundable and the staff acted like they didn’t care about their job so it wouldn’t be worth trying to fight and get my money back. If I could give this place a 0 out of 10, that would still be too generous. It should be condemned. There was also a cockroach on my car when I went to leave. So overall it was a horrible experience. STAY AWAY!"

"I had a great stay! The room was very nice—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Everything was exactly as expected and made for a really enjoyable experience. Coffee and breakfast were great. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!"

"First of all, the staff were absolutely amazing! Chelsey was super helpful! There was another woman there who I didn’t catch her name, but she helped Chelsey with something while checking me in and she was super friendly! The A/C worked just fine. My only two complaints (which didn’t really matter all that much to me) was just my room location being by the elevator made things a little noisy, and the floor was a little scratched up in my room. Other than that, everything was great! The breakfast was fine, but there wasn’t too much of a selection. Good enough for me though. Overall it was a great experience!"

"Comfort Inn was great - room was perfect (clean, everything in good repair, PLENTY of hot water, comfortable bed with plenty of pillows)- the entire hotel was clean and in good repair - my room was serviced well each day - breakfast was very good (eggs, etc .. not just muffins & coffee in the lobby), staff was courteous & professional. Comfort Inn is my new “go to” hotel for future trips!"

"Staff was very friendly. Room was bright and decorated nicely, though small as is to be expected at a historic hotel. It was very expensive when we were there, and I don't think worth the price. It appears to be a grand historic hotel, but there's no lobby to appreciate this -- only the dining room. There's no big historic lobby area, just a normal check-in desk. It is really the only place to stay if you want to be in downtown Lakeland, which is nice. We did enjoy walking around the small town. It would be nice if the hotel provided a walking map to the historic buildings or things to see. Free valet parking from a very nice attendant. There's a small veranda at the back for sitting outside."

"The cleaning, horrible, cockroaches, hairs on the bed, a musty and dirty smell, very unpleasant, the floor very dirty, the corridors and elevator very dirty, the towels smelled clean but with old churre stains that the washing machine did not remove, we paid for three people and they only put 2 dirty towels, the treatment of the reception staff was excellent, we paid almost 300 dollars for just one night, I do not recommend it or visit it again even if they give it for free, it is a lack of respect to charge so much money for such dirty."
