This is one of the most amazing and beautiful B&Bs we’ve ever stayed in. The hosts are kind, helpful as very knowledgeable about the history of the area, and welcomed us into their unique and stunning home as friends instead of passing strangers. We loved it!

Loved our stay here. Favorite property while travelling through France. Owner is fantastic, the B & B is beautiful, the pool has an amazing view and the other travellers staying there were also lovely and it was great visiting with them!

This is a magical place! The owner are adorable! If you are looking for 5stars probably not for you, but if you are seeking hospitality and the real flavor or France then I highly recommend you to stay here! The house sits below a cliff and the pool sits on top of cliff for wonderful views. The pool and sauna staircase was tunneled into the cliff 1000 years ago. The sauna sits in a carved out room in the rock cliff for a one of a kind experience. It has a very calming vibe! Enjoy your breakfast with the other like minded travelers and share your experiences.

A very beautiful and unique property. You definitely feel like you're in a fun experience here. It's built into the side of a cliff. We did have a teeny bit of trouble finding it as the property is behind a walls and a gate and so all of the pictures I have seen online you cannot see from the street, which could be difficult later at night, but when you get up to the blue gates you can see the name on the bell and buzz the owner and she's great about getting you in and showing you around. Owner was very kind and helpful and informative and spoke great English which was nice since our French isn't. She had great advice on things to see in the area. There's really only one restaurant in this tiny town. But if you're out at attractions you can plan to eat before you return to town. We felt like we wished we could stay longer. Very fun.

Perfect location for a mid drive one night stop off. The house and location are idyllic on the banks of the Loire and we arrived in time for a dip in the rooftop pool and a meal In the local restaurant In walking distance. Our hosts were lovely and welcoming.

Host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Building was very very historic. Only draw back was the room had original lock which sounds great but I really wouldn’t gave wanted to exit the room in a hurry.

Welcoming Quaint Chateau
Authentic quaint chateau with a warm and welcoming atmosphere! Owner full of local advice, cheerful, and inviting! Rooms are comfortable. Loved our stay in the main house cave room. Breakfast complete w/fresh croissants and breads. Location great for driving to most castles!

The property was in a historic building that has a lot of charm. It was private and quiet. We enjoyed the spa, the pool and the magnificent view. We enjoyed the generous breakfast and the communal kitchen.

We had a Lovely stay , the owner is very attentive, she waited for us to arrive around 10 pm. The place is espectacular with amazing views. 30 minute car ride to the beautiful town of Ambroise, and 1 hour from Chateau Chambord. Highly recommended!

The property is situated on a rock face in the village of Vouvray. Its a beautiful property and the owner greeted us on our arrival. She was extremely gracious and welcoming. The room was beautiful, spacious and incorporated much of the local granite/rock in its construction.The breakfast was a continental one and very good. I would certainly return to this property again.

La Rochiliere - the cave house!
Fabulous stay with a lovely host. Such a beautiful building and special to be sleeping in a cave! We'll have to come in the summer to enjoy the swimming pool next time!

One of the coolest places we have stayed. Host is wonderful—- helpful and very interesting. Breakfast with other guests was a great experience as was exploring the passageway to the rooftop pool. All of the modern conveniences in a great historical setting! Can’t wait to go there again!

Best stay think Ive ever had, amazing rooftop pool
One of the best places I have ever stayed. Lovely fresh breakfast. Welcoming and chatty hostess. Amazing rooftop pool with panoramic views which I had to myself 2x. Wish it was not full tonight too. Interesting and historic buildings.

the room was big, clean, unique, modern but with a traditional quality due to the historic building. there are caves and tunnels and a unique climb to a pool. The owners are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple and delicious.

The hotel is full of character and Anneli is the perfect host. The property is gated but this is well organised with keys and there is plenty of parking. The breakfast was extensive and we enjoyed local bread, jams and goats cheese. The use of the swimming pool was much appreciated in the very hot weather and we enjoyed the short trip to Tours. We only stayed 2 nights as we were working our way through France and this is a convenient stop from Calais. We would definitely stay again when on that same journey going South.
