One of the best places we stayed at during our two weeks in Iceland. A true oasis away from the hustle and bustle of life. The private cabin we stayed in was huge with outdoor seating, a porch, an outdoor grill, and beautiful views of the country side. The family that runs the property also owns the farm the property is on and the on-site restaurant. All the ingredients are local (if not grown on their own farm) and the food was delicious with large portions. We wish we could have stayed longer and highly recommend this location to anyone traveling through this part of Iceland.
Beautiful and quiet place. A bit far from the route 1, but we thought would be worth it due to the hot tub. It was very disappointing to get there and be informed that the hot tub was not working. The owner was very nice and we had a wonderful dinner.
Comfortable, clean.
Common areas were well& equipped.
Friendly staff, great location, & reasonable prices.

It was raining so we didn’t see anything of the surroundings. Had to call someone for ginving us the code of the cabin (which had a keybox) and it took a long time,
Altough she was in the cabin next to the entrance.
Awesome highlands location. Great food and great service. Very quiet. Slept wonderfully. Only thing I would add is washcloths and a second pillow available in the room. No complaints! Would definitely return.
The cabin was adorable and the hot tub was a wonderful bonus! We were traveling the ring road and this was a wonderful surprise after a long day of sight seeing the area. Would recommend to any one doing the same in Iceland! The food was typical Icelandic fare but the service was great so it made dining there a pleasure!

Really good views and nice stay
Driving up is gravel road for miles but the view is worth it. Also the breakfast is recommended. The people who live there are really nice.

Very remote and peaceful
This place is very remote, I booked to enjoy the Northern Lights - they did not appear - totally not the farm stays fault!
The people that own this are very friendly and it's clean, it's not as nice as the place I stayed at before and after this but not bad.
A group of hunters were staying at the same time and they were pretty noisy and the insulation between rooms is not so great.
The breakfast room overlooks a field with sheep and you can see waterfalls, very peaceful and pretty
You can see the Northern Lights from this establishment. Great place to be. The landlady is friendly and nice.
Peaceful place in a remote area.
N.B
There's a petrol station 4km-5km in next village, do fill up there, otherwise you may not see one for the next 140KM
We loved this place and it was comfortable and in a great area (the views were spectacular). The only criticism we had was that there were no amenities (guest kitchen) as the guesthouse doubled as a restaurant. The restaraunt prices were extreme in comparison to the lodging prices, which is understandable but made it hard for budget travelers.
Loved our stay on this beautiful sheep farm. The rooms are standard bunk house rooms, but are clean and quiet. The farm's dining room makes farm-to-table fresh meals. The lamb meatballs were outstanding! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Gisilina was a great host. We enjoyed visiting with her. Walking the hillside above the river is a wonderful way to spend the evening after a delicious meal. Wi-Fi was very weak, but the farm is in the middle of nowhere in a valley, so it is understandable. The farm is a 35 minute drive outside of Vopnafjodur. If you are low on gas, refuel in the town before proceeding to the farm. The road to the farm weaves along a gravel road going down into the valley.

A decent guesthouse in the middle of nowhere
This is a clean, warm, comfortable guesthouse in a somewhat remote farm valley in eastern Iceland. There is nothing there but scenery and a river and waterfalls. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this might be the place for you, but bear in mind, there are no other facilities nearby. The manager asked me if I wanted breakfast so apparantly you can eat there, but I didn't so can't comment on the food. After showing me around, the manager left, and I had the place to myself. There are no cooking facilities, but there was a kettle for boiling water along with teabags, coffee and sugar packets, etc. in the room. There were two shared bathrooms and one shower, and a common area, but no tv. If I recall correctly the WiFi was stong. The room was a reasonable size, with two twin beds, table and chair and a lavatory. As I said, it was clean, warm quiet and comfortable, which is basically exactly what I was looking for. There is a river nearby and waterfalls and I went for a nice hike. I was all alone and felt like I owned the whole place. If that's the kind of experience you're looking for, this might be a good overnight stop for you. It's not a new modern place, but it is a comfortable, quiet, clean overnight stay at a reasonable price. I would stay there again.
It's very roomy and clean. The bed is comfertable, 1st time we slept through the whole night, while we are in Iceland. The host very nice invit us to their farm to play with baby lamb.
One thing to remind, full kitchen, but don‘t have any seasoning and oil, coffee.

GREAT STAY ON A WORKING FARM. THE OWNER MADE US A LOVELY DINNER AND SHE WAS VERY FRIENDLY! :)
We were expecting something closer to a camping site, but this place turned out to be very nice. Good food in the small restaurant and nice rooms. Convenient location, a small detour off the ring road, and one of only a few places to stay between Myvatn and Egilsstadir. Recommended!
