"If I could rate it a million stars, I would! This is the perfect, peaceful quiet Portuguese experience. We stayed here because it was close to the wedding venue we were attending. The staff were all so kind and helpful, the pool was the perfect cool temperature with plenty of lounge set for everyone, and the grounds were gorgeous. "Great location, breakfast, amenities and helpful staff. Large room compared with typical hotel. Lost a star due to chaotic check in. Arrived before check in time to leave bags. details taken and passports scanned. Then at actual check had to do it all again when it was really busy. Staff seemed to be struggling with computers. Bar was infrequently manned with no method of summoning staff except to walk back to reception. However minor gripes. Great hotel."

"Very helpful staff. The air conditioning was not working during a hot period and I received a message warning me and asking me if I wanted a refund but I kept the booking. When I arrived at the hotel the staff were very helpful and offered me a fan and complimentary bottle of cold water. For the price I paid it was far more than I expected. Sometimes it’s just a little customer service which makes a problem much easier to accept! In the end sleeping with window open was completely adequate- I was in Portugal and expecting hot weather."
