This is a 3 Star resort charging 4-5 Star prices, including a $40 resort fee per person, which is pretty high for a place under construction, without good walking paths, and charging very high prices for all food and drinks. Our floors had been swept, but not mopped - my feet got filthy walking barefoot in our room and I had to wash them just to get into bed. The beach is very nice, the pools are very nice, the staff is very nice, but overall, we had a mediocre experience and would not recommend this to our friends.

We had a wonderful stay overall. It would have been even better if greater attention had been given to environmental sustainability—for example, providing recycling options in the rooms and avoiding plastic straws, cups, and cutlery at the pool restaurant. Sanibel Island is a beautiful and fragile environment that deserves to be protected.
