The villa was amazing & so very relaxing - Great breakfast - Would definitely go back if I was ever in Portugal Again 😉😉

We had a little difficulty on arrival because there was a no entry sign across the road leading to the village and we went past it. We eventually found our way and had to swerve round the barrier. Had we been told about this, we would have found the village more easily. The once abandoned hilltop village has been sensitively restored and is now mainly reliant on tourism. Our house was typical - a large picture window with views over wooded hillsides, plenty of solid wooden beams and...

Great view, lovely friendly staff, large room

Fantastic house, loads of history. Beautiful surroundings, lovely friendly hosts.

We got a really warm and helpful welcome. The location is perfect, a couple of minutes from the university complex. The room was super, breakfast was lovely. There is nothing to fault. We love this place.

Really very nice. Just outside the centre and old quarter but easy enough to walk. Parking isn’t private. It’s in the road but easy enough and close enough. I would say a very safe area. Breakfast was on the roof terrace (or inside). Very nice. Decent enough selection. Continental style. Very nicely presented. Room was fairly small but totally sufficient. Bed too hard for me but ok for my husband. We are all different. Very good pillows and linen. Very clean. We walked to a good...

The owners were so nice and very helpful as well as suggesting local restaurants . Location was excellent and we could walk to everything we wanted to visit

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at the Palacio da Lousa. Our room was big and spacious , the breakfast was comprehensive and catered for all tastes, there is good free parking at the back of the hotel and we had an excellent evening meal one night.

An over night stay. This is a large modernist hotel, some of the room fittings are just starting to show their age although this did not spoil our stay. We had an evening meal at the restaurant which was fantastic. All the staff were very helpful. There is free parking and WiFi and the hotel was easy to find. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

What a great stay...we only booked for one night but upon arrival we were so amazed that we asked right away if we could stay another night and so we cancelled the other hotel and changed our plans completely. The landlord was also such an amazing host. We could park our car in front of the hotel and we enjoyed an amazing breakfast next to the hotel. Perfect location with a perfect host and perfect stay. All in all, we are coming back

Spacious room, new build, very clean. The place is immerse in a quiet location and the weather was also fabulous.

Location and size of Hotel fantastic for centre of Coimbra. Walking in the gardens you wouldn't believe you were so close to the city centre. Staff were excellent and very attentive.

We had a fantastic stay in the Sapentia. We were there for a week and got to know the local area well and built a nice relationship with the staff too. The Hotel is situated in great spot, some of the rooms have great views towards the river. The only issue is parking. The location is on a tiny street adjacent to the University. If you can, don’t have a car. If you do, prepare to have to move to about a bit potentially. The hotel helped us a lot and we managed ok, the car remained, miraculously,...

Fab find in centre of Coimbra, friendly check in, gorgeous room, delicious breakfast & perfect location. One of the better Coimbra central hotels & great value for money!

Was a good location for me - short walk across the river to touristy streets. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast is ok, and the coffee there is exceptional.

Great location for visiting Coimbra. The staff were really helpful and the bonus of free parking was great for us. We enjoyed lovely views of the city while having a drink on the terrace.
