Opening the balcony door in the morning, a fresh breeze greeted me, and the sound of roosters crowing in the distant mountains marked a beautiful start to the day. The room and bed were comfortable. "The most magical place I've been to! The hotel is an old estate and they have redone it beautifully. The staff was first class, the food delicious and there were so many activities to sign up for! Spa was impressive with the hydrotherapy, cold plunge and different saunas! We will definitely go back!!"

"Beautiful property in the beautiful Douro Valley with a nice pool. There is no winery on site, but it is in the middle of beautiful vineyards. You can go down the road to Pinhao or to St. Eufemia Winery for a tour. Breakfast was great and the staff was very accomodating. Great price for a beautiful stay. The property would benefit from some more outdoor leisure areas to sit peacefully and enjoy the view other than the balcony of your room or the pool/deck. Lenore at the desk was very nice and very helpful."

"I expected more to be honest especially for the prices. Ive used the spa facility before and that is brilliant but this was the first time staying. Lobby looks great but rooms need renovating. There was also a christmas party on one of the nights so music was quite loud and could be heard in the room thankfully it wasn't on till very late but still not what you expect when staying at a soundproof hotel. The spa hours are also restricted some days so we were unable to use the facilities during our stay. Other hotels have extended hours for guests and earlier opening times. "
