  • Sri Dalada Maligawa, also known as Temple of the Buddha Tooth in English, is a UNESCO heritage site, and a popular place to visit for newly weds. It was awfully packed over the full moon weekend (would not recommend visiting during this period)! This pavilion-like structure at the front Paththirippuwa, or Octagon. It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. Very clean and chalets are very high quality. Golf course is nice (only nine holes now open but the course is so nice that it doesn’t matter) and the nature walks awesome. Breakfast is very good and the restaurant offers good quality meals. We will go back again!

Absolutely stunning place - spacious and clean room, a great infinity pool with nice views, and one of the most beautiful golf courses we have ever played with breathtaking views and professional & friendly caddies. Service was kind, although could have been faster at times, and covid precautions were well followed. Will definitely return!
