Fanns inget kök som det stod i informationen. Fick låna en vattenkokare och mugg så jag kunde göra morgonkaffe. Väldigt litet, hissen tar man inte om det inte är absolut nödvändigt. Det positiva var närheten till stranden och strandpromenaden.

Hotel Dolly

What a pleasant surprise. The family at this well organised hotel are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is more than adequate. We will recommend a stay at Hotel Dolly to anyone we meet who are visiting Via Reggio. Via Reggio is charming resort ,busy but not appearing so. The bay and beach are excellent but unfortunately access is controlled by hotels.

Lovely hotel, excellent location

The hotel is ideally located being just over the road from the beach and a few minutes walk from the shops & restaurants. The train station is a 10 minute walk away at the top of the road and has frequent services to other nearby towns. Like many hotels in the resort, it is small but the rooms are very clean, the staff/owners very helpful and friendly and the food is very good. Viareggio itself is a nice smallish seaside resort with a lovely beach although like many Italian resorts sunbeds are obligatory even for just a couple of hours. The sea is also teaming with jellyfish although this didn't seem to worry most people. A good base to explore the local area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Prior to going we asked for a quiet room on the top floor with a balcony and thats exactly what we got. the first morning I asked Michele {the hostess} for train times to Florence and she printed off a selection of times for going and returning which was most helpful.There was always someone on hand that could speak English and they were very obliging. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The train station was at the end of the road about 10 minutes away. There were decent restaurants around as well and you could eat in if you wished. whilst we were there towels were changed each day.

Tuscany break

Lovely family run Hotel in a great location in Viareggio. Situated in a quiet location but close to shops and restaurants and just across the road from the beach. 15 mins walk to the station. Friendly staff and lovey breakfast.
