"Our first time staying at a Brit Hotel. The staff, even the ones that did not speak English were extremely friendly and helpful. A special commendation to Elise who went above and beyond to help us.
Room and food very good for the price. Great value for money.
We will definitely stay again if we need accommodation in the area."

"Just pulling out La Ferme des Mares, a charming establishment that provides everything except showers and an apology or discount for providing showers. Should you decide to visit, my advice is that you check the hot water before accepting the keys so that you don't have the unhappy experience of discovering an ice cold shower upon waking the next morning. And no one at the reception to assist you until 8:30 AM when you need to check out."

"Amazing stay from start to finish. The staff was absolutely awesomeโfriendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my entire stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and very nice. The location is fantastic, especially if youโre visiting Normandy to see the D-Day sites. Everything I wanted to visit was easily accessible from the hotel.
I couldnโt have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Hotel Le Sainte Mรจre and will definitely be back soon. Five stars all the way!"

"A quirky guest house, not really a hotel, in an old building. The room was spacious and comfortable, although somewhat sparsely and quirkily furnished. The bathroom was large, modern and clean. Antoine, the host, was charming and helpful. A short walk into the town centre and cathedral makes this well situated to visit Coutance."

Only been here for a few hours so far but already managed to sample the pool, beach, shops and restaurants, as theyโre all so close by! Itโs really quiet, despite it being Saturday night and so close to town, but the layout of the apartments has been done so you can hear the sea and not much else. Looking forward to exploring more tomorrow.

Perfect, perfect, perfect.
We stayed here one night and wish we had stayed longer. The best place to stay if you plan to visit any ww2 sites in Normandy.
The host was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were tastefully decorated...not over the top. The bathrooms were modern and spotlessly clean as were the bedrooms, the bedding was really good quality and most important for us the mattress was super comfortable.
The breakfast the next morning was excellent. Lots of choice to cater for...

The host family was friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely, comfortable, and well-decorated space. A lot of thought went into the place. We had a lovely breakfast daily. The host was always available to everyone, even though they left you to rest and enjoy. The property is tranquil and peaceful, allowing you to relax. We are delighted and would gladly return; it's value for money. We loved having our French Bulldog, Triptan, stay with us. Thank You - Merci

The owners were lovely and very welcoming with off road parking provided within the grounds. The whole building was full or character and very stylishly decorated to a high level with a selection of D-day memorabilia and information in the dining room. There was a good breakfast included of Croissant/Pain au Chocolate/Pain au Raisin and bread, preserves and cheese together with hot drinks and juice. A particularly nice touch was a selection of chocolates in the bedroom. Would certainly recommend...

What a gem! This was our last night stay before catching the Cherbourg ferry back to the UK.
The rooms were lovely, lots of little touches. The family who run it were so kind, they also own the restaurant out back which had incredible food and amazing wines, very well priced.
If youโre looking at staying in this town, you will not be disappointed!!

Not cheap, but a great place for a short stay. Itโs a pity the restaurant and bar are not open on Monday and Tuesday, but there are plenty of other places around.
