Very good purpose for money

Excellent friendly helpful and efficient staff make you so welcome, everywhere kept so clean, nice view including lake from balcony and breakfast is fantastic, would very highly recommend Smart Hotel and will be repeat visitor for sure.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Locarno square, immaculate, restaurants and shops 2 minutes away and ten minute walk to station

Garden & pool area

We stayed in the penthouse suite which i think must sleep 5 or 6 (it had 3 bedrooms). The hotel sits on the edge of Lake Maggiore and from the “balcony” of the suite the views were amazing. The hotel is only a couple of minutes walk from the train station. We were there for the moon & stars festival and the hotel is right at the end of the food street but we weren’t disturbed at all when we went to sleep. The food was amazing! Definitely the right choice to stay half board and have the set menu each night. Gorgeous view of the Lake, lovely walk to the next village for lunch through beautiful paths, very relaxing place with Swimming pool. Rooms very romantic, with their own balcony.

Amazingly clean room and bathroom. Very modern and really good location with substantial parking.

I arrived later in evening by motorcycle and took me a bit of time to work out I needed to login on line in the car park, but once I worked this out, the online system to open the various doors worked very well. New experience not having anyone about to help but once I muddled through it ( I’m 60) it worked surprisingly well. Most impressed. Breakfast in morning was great and pullout drawings with glass tops to see food contents was a nice design touch.

We stayed at Garni Muralto for 4 nights July 2017, and were very impressed. The room was spacious, and bed comfy, etc. and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel staff were very helpful and the location was excellent for touring other resorts in Ticino, e.g. Lugano, as it is a 5 minute walk from the station and bus stop. Short walk into the old town, and also to the lake and Piazza Grande to restaurants and bars.
