This Property is walking distance from Chateau Versailles. It is surrounded by dozens of eating & drinking establishments and is certainly adequate for a couple. The staff was friendly. We enjoyed our stay
The location was great for walking just about everywhere, including the back door to the gardens at Versailles. There were plenty of good restaurants nearby. I did not succeed in finding a good cup of coffee, but that’s okay, I survived!
We loved this hotel. It was perfect for what we needed as base to tour Versailles and Paris, whilst having a place to leave our car. The area around the hotel contained lots of lovely restaurants and there was a market outside most days. The hotel breakfast was good (boiled egg, pastries, cereal, bread) and the staff helpful and friendly.
This little hotel is a win!!!.... 10 min walk from the palace, lots of food option around, large, comfortable rooms, and very affordable. We absolutely loved it. Highly recommend.
This is an old school French hotel with a helpful staff that is located minutes from Versailles Palace. Enough can't be said about the neighborhood and its shopping and dining options. If you're lucky enough to be there over the weekend, you can visit a true French farmer's market across the street. Our room was comfortable and clean and parking was on-site in the adjacent courtyard. This is a great value for staying near Versailles.
This was our second stay at the Hotel Du Cheval Rouge. And once again it was an amazing stay. The staff where as always friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious, clean and bright overlooking our car in the courtyard car park. The location of this hotel is perfect for visiting the brilliant maket only 2 mins walk away, the city only 10 mins walk and the Palace/Gardens 20 mins. The continental breakfast is generous and varied and well worth every penny we paid.
The staff was very courteous and helpful. We arrived late at night, after a very long drive, and we are so thankful the attendant was there to open the gate and help us to our room.
The room was comfortable, we were able to open the window to allow cool air in.
The lobby and breakfast area of the hotel was very clean and organized.
Merci, for a very nice stay. Highly recommended.
Stayed two nights while visiting the palace and gardens. Only 15 mins walk from main gate and with many options for bars and restaurants on the adjoining square. Easy on site parking although tricky access on market days. Room very comfortable and recently renovated bathroom.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Location great for Palace. Glad of secure parking although would have liked to have pre-booked it. Plenty of bars & restaurants close by. Room rather “tired” but fit for purpose, & bathroom was refurbished. Reasonable value for money given location.
the location is very good, we are a family of 4 and the room was a good size. We stayed for 2 nights. 1 day - visit in Versaille, 1 day - we took the train to Paris centre. Only issue for me was that the floor makes lots of noise. it is probably some type of old wooden flooring but as we did not spend very much time in the room it was not a big issue. I would stay there again.
Lots of nice restaurants around.
Great location near the marketplace. In the evening, the restaurants adjacent to the hotel set up sidewalk tables and make the area pleasant and lively. 10-15 minute walk to Versailles Chateau. Good (paid) parking in courtyard of hotel. Like most places in France, no air conditioning. We opened our windows at night during our stay in late July and were reasonably comfortable.
