Upon arrival, we were told that we were the only ones staying that night! This made it feel like a fairy tale - a chateau all to ourselves! The historical flavor of the property made us feel like we were back in the 17th century. We were served an excellent multi-course meal by Chef Carole, who not only prepped and prepared our meal, but personally served it to us. Upon our departure, we were offered a private tour of the Chateau by the owner. The owners, their new puppy, and sweet dog were lovely hosts. They provided a custom and unforgettable 24 hours. "It was ideal for walking down into the Old Town. External lights shone in below blinds Standby lights were VERY bright one red and one blue There was intermittent ticking noise from heating/aircon control, which was off. In all, I got very little sleep. I have noticed that Campanile have deteriorated over the last few years and I will avoid in the future."
