"Clean room, partially updated"

"Pictures must be of 1 redone room, as everything appears from 70s/80s. The only part that was accurate was the pictures on the wall. The staff upon check-in told us the wrong times for the restaurant, thus arrived once closed. The internet was spotty and the TV had to reset daily. Claims to be in town, but actually a 6 minute drive away, which we drove so not a big deal, however if we didn't would have been an issue. The bathroom fixtures were not kept up and the were empty metal brackets in the bathroom. Was okay for the price, but unsure if I would stay again. "

"We just stayed at this lodge for a week and it has been great! The hot pool and sauna is a nice touch after a long day of hiking and exploring Banff and the mountains! Things to consider if you are thinking of staying here: - Rooms oddly do not have a microwave! The staff downstairs will warm up your leftovers but just something to consider. It will cool down before you get back up to your room lol. - If you don’t have a car, it’s a decent walk to the downtown area, it is definitely not the closest lodge to the core of Banff. The first few days is fine to walk but eventually it’s inconvenient if you want to go back to the lodge quick or drop bags off. If you have a car there’s a few free parking areas in the core. But again, it’s one thing I wished we considered a bit before booking. - Staff were friendly and everything was clean! They did their best to accommodate a late check out for us! Pretty decent lodge overall and I’d recommend. I wouldn’t say it is luxury but if you’re looking for a safe clean lodge with friendly staff and just have a place to sleep, you’ll be happy with your stay here!! - There isn’t really a cafe downstairs or anything so for morning coffees you’ll have to walk to another lodge. Theres a Keg here but I’d skip it and try one of the many amazing cafes and breakfast spots downtown!! "
