The hotel was beautiful as was the village it is situated in. The staff were friendly and very polite. Service was great too.

The location of the hotel is very good for exploring the Tain L'Hermitage region just across the bridge on the other side of the Rhone. From here you can walk around the hill of Hermitage and visit the wineries. The hotel is in a grand building, stylistically refurbished and has a fantastic view from the outdoor swimming pool. The staff are young, enthusiastic and professional and the host was excellent in making suggestions for local restaurants and wine shops. I would recommend this hotel.

A high quality boutique hotel in the countryside just outside Gap. Excellent dinner, with good choice of wines and very attentive, friendly service. Proved to be a great stop over on my way down the Route de Napoleon from Chamonix to St Tropez.

Lovely reception

Me and my family of 12 stayed there for a weekend, as we had a family wedding in Grenoble. We both liked this hotel and would stay again. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the meal although it was a very limited menu. Our only problem was finding the hotel. There are 2 roads in Valance with the same name and our Satnav doesn't take zip codes. When you enter the address you need to put in Bourgs De Valance not just Valance or you end up in not too nice an area of Valance.
