The hotel is well located to the tram stop, which is about 15minutes journey into Venice. With frequent trams going to and from Venice. Breakfast was very nice and with a good choice of food. Room was basic but we just slept in the room and spent the rest of the time in Venice. Generally a good value hotel.

I loved that hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. Loved the location as me and my sister had a easier access to get a bus for free and go into city it was lovely, if I would came back to Venice definitely will take this hotel. Breakfast was amazing the price of the hotel very cheap !

Spent one night here and it was very easy to get to from the airport then take the tram right into Venice. Staff was friendly and helpful with advice. Also a very nice spread at the complimentary breakfast.

Good overall
We arrived there at midnight and the receptionist didn't stop laughing during our check in, it seemed like he was a little drunk, so it wasn't the best of welcomes. Other than that everything was totally fine, room was comfy, breakfast was great, with good coffee and pleasant service. Getting from there to center Venice was easy, just took the tram from the nearest station.

Recently stayed at this hotel to visit Venice. Not only was it very conveniently located next to a tram stop only 15 minutes from Venice. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was perfect. Everything we needed, up to date, and very clean. Highly recommend to stay here for your trip to Venice.

The air conditioning unit did not work- while it was in the upper 80’s outside- the thermostat was on 25 degrees! Beds are comfortable and rooms clean. We love the breakfast for additional price which was very reasonable.

A decent, clean, average 3 star with good service
Alexander is no nonsense, good value, very clean 3 star hotel in a quiet part of Mestre area with a few things that could give it 4th star. The air conditioning leaves a lot to desire especially during 28-29 degree C days staying on top 4th floor. The thermostat shows you can bring the temp to 19.5deg which is still very warm but the room was still roasting. And thermostat keeps jumping back to 24-25 deg as desired temp. Hotel said air conditioning is fine. They said local law does not allow ironing in rooms, you have to go down to ground floor for it. No kettle or tea /coffee making facility. No mini bar, but a small fridge and safe are provided. Water in fridge is chargeable. They only serve breakfast. All that said, it’s a good value, quiet and very clean hotel with helpful staff. About 25 mins tram ride outside Venice city. Airport bus stop right outside. We were pleased to have found a clean place to stay when everywhere in Venice and grand canal was fully booked and expensive!

Mini bar very noisy, the temperature in the room could not be adjusted and was extremely hot had to keep the windows open trough the night. To be 4 star hotel very poor amenities In the room and breakfast too expensive. Uncomfortable pillows, door opener very noisy, not enough light in the room very dark night hours.

Dear Luigi, we are very sorry to read that you didn't enjoy your stay in our hotel; nevertheless we would like to make you some clarifications: When you made the reservation you chose Room Only rate (without breakfast) therefore it is normal that taking breakfast as an extra had a different cost than the rate with breakfast included in the room price; as far as the mini bar, in your opinion "noisy", it was replaced immediately by our staff; for the "uncomfortable" pillows, you could had simply asked the staff to replace them if they didn't meet your needs. We are sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay in our hotel. Gentile Luigi, ci dispiace molto sapere che non si è trovato bene presso la nostra struttura; tuttavia ci teniamo a farle alcune precisazioni: Lei ha soggiornato scegliendo una tariffa Room Only (senza colazione) di conseguenza è normale che prendendo la colazione come extra abbia un costo diverso rispetto alla tariffa con colazione inclusa nel prezzo della camera; per quanto riguarda il mini bar, a vostro dire "rumoroso", vi è stato sostituito in maniera celere; per i cuscini "scomodi" aveste semplicemente potuto chiedere al personale di sostituirli se non soddisfacevano le vostre esigenze. The breakfast was amazing! Quite a lot of choice for the price we paid. The bathroom was stunning and very pretty. The room size was good but the blanket provided was too thin and was more like a bed top

Perfect Venice stay
We loved staying at the Alexander! The location was ideal for easy transportation from airport and also in and out of Venice. Staff was very friendly and helpful with whatever we needed. We had 2 of the best dinners at local restaurants within 5 minute walk and loved them both! Would highly recommend staying at the Alexander anytime!

The property is located right beside the main bus and tram line making the centre of Venice very accessible. The rooms where cleaned daily and towels changed. Breakfast selection was enough even for the fussiest of eaters ie: my mother lol. The rooms where very warm and the air con wasn’t working in ours we didn’t complain though as we didn’t spend much time in the room.

First off, i wanted to start by explaining that this hotel does not look like the pictures. The bedroom photos displayed show a "modern look", my husband and i spent one night here, and i was glad that it was all we had. First off, when we checked in we were informed that the room would not be ready (we arrived at 12), but were told that if we wanted to leave our bags we would be charged 20 euros. We decided we would wait in their lobby, amazingly... the room was ready within 15 minutes. I found this odd, considering we were told that we would be waiting a while for our room. The T.V is small, yes you dont come on vacation to watch TV but here you will want something to distract you from how the room makes you feel. I thought the room would have matched the photos, instead it felt like a hotel from the 70's, i checked the blanket and through the sheets because i felt that awful. I never leave reviews, but after spending so much money on our trip to italy, if i can be help for another person i want to help.

First of all we would like to clarify that check-in time in our hotel starts from 14,00, you arrived at 12 and you got the room with only 15 minutes of waiting so we think that you were lucky and we provide a good service. We double check and you stayed in the room 140, one of the standard renovated rooms, finished last year, so it is impossible that the room was old. We also want to clarify that our deposit for bags is free of charge and nobody asked you Euro 20 to store your bags, we usually do this service for free. It is also very strange that during your stay you never came at reception desk asking anything. Finally we think that perhaps you mistake the hotel, please check better your memory. Best Regards

The location is perfect because of its close proximity to public transportation. Bathroom was nice—felt nice to take a shower after traveling. Free breakfast in the morning was great!!

The location is very practic but not fancy. Breakfast was terrible, full of supermarket pastries, the luggage storage which was the reason to choose a hotel over an airbnb was on a conference room. The courtains were stained.
