Our stay was great. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was amazing. They were even able to help me when I locked myself out. The only thing is the signage could be better as we walked the street three times until we realised 1740 was the houses name.

They do not clean the room, and when they do it very very poorly, they say that it is not a hotel.......it is a hostel at a good hotel price.........absolutely recommendable, the worst thing was the lack of cleaning of the room

The location is 30 minutes walk from Venezia s. Lucia which felt like quite the hike with the many stairs we had to go up and down and through the uneven pavement. The hotel itself was had nice vintage look, good for pictures. It was quiet, very clean inside and amenities were conveniently placed. I liked the heated towel holder. Don’t plug in your American blow drier or else you’ll destroy the electric system like I did and blow out the entire building’s electricity. The response time took a while when the lights were out but we still heard back and the problem was fixed within a couple of hours. Our room had a nice balcony. There wasn’t an elevator. There was one narrow flight of stairs up but it wasn’t too bad since we didn’t have terribly heavy luggage. The virtual front desk staff was very nice and helpful.
