"The EV charging bays are plentiful (12 I think) but awkward to park at, especially as this hotel seems to attract inconsiderate douchebags in their massive ยฃ80,000 douchebagmobiles who park like absolute douchebags. So get on the electric chargers early before they get douchebagged. Every other thing though was awesome. Room was a bit dated (no USB charging for example) yet spectacularly well maintained. The room door lock is old school mechanical, took me a couple of attempts to remember how those worked! I didnโt get to use the bar or restaurant but they looked fantastic. Every member of staff went the extra mile for me at every opportunity. The grounds are sublime, but how many moats does just one castle really need?!"
Van Der Valk Hotel Cuijk - Nijmegen

"I really rated the hotel, it's a bit of a walk from the centre of Cuijk but if you don't mind walking or are driving, it's a pleasant place to stay. I was concerned there would be a lot of road noise but there was none. A coffee machine and fridge in the room was very welcome. My only negative is the price of the breakfast as an additional add on was significant considering it was already a reasonably expensive rate per night. I cannot say how good the breakfast was but I was quoted I think c. 20 Euros a night. That's a lot when the cost of the room was already c. 140 Euros a night. That said, comfortable bed and nice room with a bath and shower which isn't the norm."

"A good location in Nuenen. We had to call and contact the night-porter as we arrived just after 9pm, this was not on the listing on hotels.com and said if arriving after midnight to contact the property. The member of staff arrived very quickly and was helpful to check us in and allowed us to park our motorbike in the courtyard. The bath was dirty and required cleaning before using and there were body hairs in the bathroom. The suite Vincent, is a great room, great size but could do with an update it also did not fully reflect the photos (different lights, no carpet), it looked very tired in real life. The listing said views of the park, these were minimal and had more views of the outdoor seating area and also looked over to the window of the room next door which meant shutting the blinds most of the time. The room and bathroom are linked with no toilet which is fine for some people and was for us for one night but would not be ok for all people, maybe this could be wrote in the listing, especially as the man called it the โhoneymoonโ suite, I canโt think of anything less romantic! When checking in late we had no access to brochures of things to do in the local area."
