Christine was very welcoming and even had gluten free product for my husband who is gluten intolerant. Something we have struggled with in other French hotels. Our room was lovely and the location super as easy access to the town

The chateau is amazing. Beautiful grounds and well appointed chambres. Traditional French breakfast was lovely. Close to the ramparts across from the jardins. Will definitely be back to stay longer in Vannes.

4 night stay at the beautiful property with wife & baby. All facilities for baby available high chair, baby cutlery , bath, playroom etc Chrisitine & her team are always extremely welcoming. Breakfast lovely eggs made to order. Shared kitchenette is useful for storing food & drink. Garden & pool are beautiful - we will be back!

Pleasant stay
Very close to old walled part of the city. Parking is tough. Ask ahead for options. The host was very gracious. Great shower and tasty breakfast.

Christine the hostess welcomed us warmly and showed us the facility of hotel. Although available for us we did not use the spa. We were able to find free street parking near the hotel. Walking to the old town takes 10 minutes. Breakfast was excellent. Overall a very pleasant stay

Lovely old mansion just outside the old city walls
La Maison de la Garenne is a lovely, old three story mansion near the top of a small hill, and next to a park, just beyond the old city walls. It has about five rooms. Ours was a perfectly adequate size room, with a four poster bed, on the top floor (no elevator but the stairs are easy) overlooking the park. Breakfast (with cereal, eggs to order, yogurt, croissants, breads, juices) is on the second floor. Parking for a car is available €13/night) in the courtyard in front of the mansion but is limited. Free parking is available near by. The hostess/owner could not be more pleasant or helpful.

Beautiful French Maison
We had a wonderful stay at Maison de la Garenne. The maison is simply stunning and the inside is just as beautiful. Our room was immaculate and had a lovely view over the garden, where there is a small pool. The breakfast was also fab, and the owner really lovely and helpful. The Maison is well positioned in Vannes and a 2 min walk from the old town and a short walk to the marina (where we had a wonderful dinner) I would highly recommend staying here and would certainly stay again!

A beautiful and special property
Maison de Garenne is a beautiful property within walking distance from the buzz in Vannes. The rooms were well equipped with toiletries, bathrobes, tea/coffee etc. The outside has a lovely spa pool with luscious garden for you to sit out in. The hostess was charming and was so very helpful when we had to change our plans slightly. She also recommended places for us to go and eat .The breakfast was made up of a selection of home made goodies and pastries. A wonderful stay

Lovely renovated house hotel
By the sea in an ancient city, this small hotel offers everything: proximity to many tourist attractions and to the old port, lovely facilities in a beautiful old mansion, cleanliness, quietness. The best!

Ask if building work is still going on first
Although the rooms and the breakfast are excellent at this hotel we went away after having building work done on our house only to be somewhere that was not only having work carried out in the basement which started noisily each morning early their was also a pool being built in the garden, they charged 13 euros a night to park your car but it was surrounded and blocked in by work vans which was not the tranquil place it looks on the website. I feel if places are having this sort of work carried out it is not fair to have people paying good money to stay here. Very sad as the house itself when finished will be lovely but not right now. The bedroom and bathroom was excellent and the lady owner very friendly.

Beautiful hotel near to Vannes centre and harbour.
My advice to travellers, if they typically have too much luggage, is to pay extra for on site parking, or arrange with the hotel owners for you to drop off/pick up your luggage. There is a free car park right next to the hotel, but you have a choice of either a long walk or steps negotiate.

On reviendra!
Une nuit très agréable à Vannes, près des remparts et à proximité du port dans cette accueillante demeure au jardin fleuri. Patrons accueillants et discrets, espaces communs paisibles, chambre très belle, salle de bains au confort du neuf et au charme de l'ancien. Petit déjeuner délicieux, au calme, service chaleureux sans être intrusif. On reviendra c'est sûr !

Avec ma sœur, nous avons passé un court séjour à Vannes très agréable. Les lits sont confortables et le petit déjeuner excellent, il y a beaucoup de choix. Si vous voulez passer un séjour dans une maison de famille typiquement bretonne, nous conseillons !

très bel établissement
J'y viens tous les ans. La chambre et le reste de l'établissement est vraiment très propre et en excellent état. Les hôtes sont particulièrement aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuner est DELICIEUX !!! (surtout le gâteau au chocolat... à tomber !). L'emplacement est idéal pour sortir le soir, pour manger et boire un verre dans les remparts.

Très bon séjour, la maison est confortable. Nous avons pu faire un spa pendant les horaires inclus dans le prix de la nuitée. Petit déjeuné au top (mention special pour les confitures). La maison est à seulement quelques minutes de la ville à pied. Attention pas d’assesseurs, parking payant à l'interieur gratuit dans la rue.

Travaux de peinture à odeur très gênante. Hôtel bruyant avec bruits de canalisations. Confort moyen. Pas de parking. Volet exter ne fermant pas etc... Il vaut mieux aller dans un hotel 4 étoiles au même prix.

Nous tenons à informer les voyageurs qu'il n'y a pas de travaux en cours dans la maison (qui n'est pas un hôtel) Le spa et l'espace bien-être sont achevés et les hôtes apprécient ces nouveaux équipements. Nous disposons d'un parking (payant certes, mais on peut l'utiliser gratuitement à l'arrivée et au départ) Une maison particulière de charme a des volets non électriques, ou des rideaux occultants. L'isolation phonique dans la maison a été une priorité lors de la rénovation et le calme est loué par de nombreuses personnes.
