"Hard to separate the charm of Montalcino from that of our hotel and staff but this hotel and staff would have stood out in any location. Our suite was elegant and spacious situated in the heart of Montalcino's many shops and cafés. The staff made us feel like family they were hosting, always gracious, never mercenary. It felt a bit like staying at a friends beautiful home with the butler and staff remaining to attend to our needs. The food was delicious, artfully and graciously presented. Our stay included a free small group private tasting and tour of the Tassi winery, founded by the hotel owner's grandfather (who was himself a sharecropper for the Brunello-founding Biondi Santi family). If we could only ever revisit one place in our Italian tour, I think we'd choose this one. Five stars all around."

"The most wonderful way to relax and reset after traveling through Italy. The staff were lovely and the wine and breakfast were delicious. The hotel is only a 4 min drive to Montalcino."

"Great area, easy car access to many tiscan locations: Pienza, Montalcino, Moltepulciano and many others. Breakfast was great, many options. Property has a pool area that was unbelievably pretty. There is also a restaurant onsite that had an amazing dinner selections. The town is nearby and walkable. Would highly recommend this location for anyone exploring Tuscany and wants to get away from super touristy little towns."

"We absolutely loved staying here - the location was very central in Tuscany, it was a beautiful property with a lovely view and a very nice pool area. The staff was amazing and the value was incredible. We would definitely stay here again."

"Quaint but modern hotel walking distance to all - good breakfast and service in hotel restaurant. Spacious rooms with air conditioning (which gets turned off when staff cleans room - call desk to turn back on), safe, and bathroom with tub- but no shower curtain- took a while to learn how to negotiate using the shower handle. Pool area is restful. Enjoyed our stay"
