Erinomainen aamupala. Huone oli kuitenkin sokkeloinen vinttitila viistoilla katoilla, ei oikein vastannut sitä mielikuvaa, joka tuli hotellin kuvista ja huoneen hinnasta.

My stay in Astor was so good that next time I visit in Vasa I will definitely go back. Breakfast was amazing. Staff was friendly and sauna in the room was great.

Cosy and stylish hotel

When entering Astor you feel the winds of history in the always so civilized city of Vaasa. The interior has old charm but is recently refurbished and is very fresh. The bathrooms are on the brink of being luxurious in this hotel category. Parking EUR 5,00/24h some 150m away in a garage. Very friendly staff, breakfast good and everything very fresh. Can warmly recommend this hotel. Local restaurant recommendation: Restaurant HEIM down by the waterfront.

Aamupala oli pettymys aiempaan verrattuna

Kadulta ja vastapäiseltä juna-asemalta tulevat äänet jkv häiritsivät yöllä. Huone ja sänky hyvät, patja voisi olla vähän kovempi. Valilsimme majoituspaikan koska vuosi aiemmin aamupala erityisen hyvä, nyt valitettavasti aamupalan laatu oli aiempaan verrattuna laskenut, mm ns ”lämpimät” tuotteet kylmiä ja aamupala oli lähempänä perus hotelliaamiaista. Vastaanotto oli myös yllättäen kiinni keskellä päivää n klo 14:45 ja siksi odottelimme sisäänkirjautumista n. 20-25min.

Tullaan uudestaan!

Erittäin siisti ja kaunis, viehättäviä yksityiskohtia. Huoneessa valoisa ja tilava kylpyhuone ja ihana ikkunallinen sauna. Miinuksena sängyt kevytrakenteisina ei pysyneet yhdessä paikallaan, mutta kalustejärjestelyllä päästiin vierekkäin. :) Respasta saatin varsin ristiriitaista tietoa checkoutin myöhäistämisen suhteen, tästä tuli vähän ikävä maku, mutta vastaavasti saatiin ilmaiseksi kahvitermarimme täyteen junamatkalle kohti kotia.

Beautiful building and good location. Customer service was not so good on the first day. I had two heavy bags and the person at the reception did not help or offer to carry one of them as she walked me to my room through many stairs. Room was not cleaned well. There was food from previous guest in the fridge, they did not wash the two glasses I used on the first day, and floor was dusty. There was no bathrobe in the room even though it was listed in the website with the room details. I did get one hour later check out without having to pay for it so that was nice. Breakfast was ok, but would have been nice to have waffels or fresh baked cake gluten free. Its easy to make the dough gluten free and then it would suit everyone.

Ainutlaatuinen söpö hotelli

Majoitus yhden hengen huoneessa. Ulkoa päin todella kaunis hotelli ja myös sisustus hyvin ainutlaatuinen. Huone oli sopivan iso yhdelle. Sänky ja tyynyt tosi hyvä, mutta peitto oli aivan liian paksu kesäajalle. Lisäksi huoneessa ei ollut ilmastointia, vaikka varausta tehdessä hotellin tiedoissa sekä huoneen tiedoissa luki ilmastointi. Kysyin asiaa lähtiessä, ja vastaanotosta sanottiin että vain osassa huoneita on koneellinen säädettävä ilmastointi. Huoneesta kyllä löytyi pieni pöytäviilennin, joka onneksi auttoi jonkin verran (ja ei ollut hellettä onneksi). Muuten huone oli hiljainen kun ei ollut naapureita, mutta toisena yönä kuulin selkeästi naapurin puhumiset. Välissä tuntui olevan ohut seinä. Huoneen tiedoissa luki äänieristetty huone, mutta tässä jäi vähän kysymykseksi oliko muka. Liikenteen äänet ei häirinnyt, koska ikkuna hiljaiselle kadulle päin. Minibaarijääkaappi todella kylmä eli pystyi säilyttämään omia eväitä ja juomia hyvin. Aamupala oli todella maittava ja aivan ihanat posliiniastiat ja sisustus aamupalahuoneessa. Tulen kyllä mieluusti uudelleen, ja tällöin täytyy toivoa etukäteen huonetta jossa varmasti kunnon ilmastointi. Suosittelen kyllä hotellia kaikille. Todella hyvällä paikalla myös aivan rautatieaseman tien toisella puolella.
