The COVID-19 outbreak has brought about huge changes to how we travel. If you plan to visit Ushima, these tips will help you navigate the "new normal:"

• Look into if any restrictions apply to both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so make sure you check government advisories before booking.
• You're required to wear a face mask throughout your travel experience, including at security checkpoints. You should be prepared to lower your mask to verify your identity when asked.
• Rather than handing a TSA agent your boarding pass, place it straight on the scanner yourself. Once that's done, hold it up for inspection.
• One container of liquid hand sanitizer is now permitted in your carry-on bag. It must be no bigger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll need to take it out of your bag for X-ray screening.
• To minimize handling during the screening process, place items such as your loose change and phone into your carry-on instead of the bins.
• Separate any food you have for X-ray scanning. Putting it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to handle and inspect your belongings.
