Everything was as you expected it to be or better. The only two downfalls are the tightness of parking which is still quite manageable, and the WiFi signal to cell phones is weaker than one would hope. However, the WiFi signal to laptops was quite fine. I'd say, overall, a great hotel with top notch service.

Lovely hotel in Ettal village. Plenty of restaurant choices within walking distance. Very nice breakfast included. Convenient parking. Short drive to Linderhof, which was our reason for selecting the hotel.

I booked the hotel late for a ski trip with my kids. The hotel was lovely. Well adorned, spacious rooms. Hotel was very clean. Wellness centre was great - lovely Jacuzzi, pool, sauna and steam room. We had half board and the breakfast was big and varied Ate in the restaurant once - it was a little too trad German for my kids but was well cooked Staff are very friendly and helpful

Great hotel in the centre of Garmisch. 5 mins walk to main shopping and restaurant areas. Amazing views of Germany’s highest mountain, the Zugspitze, directly from our room. Good little indoor pool. Very friendly staff, wearing traditional dress. Bar prices quite reasonable. Half board has good breakfast buffet and three main meal choices (meat, fish, veg) soup dessert. A family hotel, run by people who combine professional competence with friendly care for their guests. It's notable that they have an active apprenticeship scheme to pass on their skills to a new generation.
