Great and romantic hotel. Perfect for couples who love to hike and enjoy nature. The cable car to the top was a surprise to us as we didn’t realize that part but it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless that added to the entire experience.

We stayed 3 nights over a weekend in a Comfort Twin Room. The hotel is right in the centre of the town but is quiet. Facilities are very good with a good breakfast and a restaurant that offers a choice of a buffet or complete a la carte. We tried both. Nice spa, helpful staff. Easy walking access to other restaurants nearby if needed. Our room was large but a little utilitarian.

If you look at my previous reviews you will see that I am more than happy to fault accommodations where they are lacking, with regards to this hotel I have absolutely nothing apart from praise. A beautiful apartment, very well appointed, excellent reception staff and a magnificent restaurant with a fantastic steaks! I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We stayed here for three days to visit the Harz National Park and mountains. We were shown the property by a really friendly receptionist at the adjacent hotel. There is a really well equipped kitchen, a comfortable bedroom, and a table and chairs outside. We could order bread for the morning which was delivered to the door.
It was walking distance to all the main parts of the town and a great choice of restaurants for dinner.
So many things to do in the Harz, lots of walking, cycling, lovely...
