"The cottage is a bit tired but well equiped, clean and comfortable. The instructions to find the key were terrible! it says get them from a key safe padlocked to the front railings at the front of the house and they were at the back, attached to the house. Google maps cannot find the address so we followed the instructions given. It mentions a car show room that it is not there anymore (a convenient Tesco instead). I called the number given and was asked for a lot of information including my...

This tiny village along the River Taw offers peaceful fishing spots and scenic walks through the Devon countryside. Visit the historic Rising Sun Inn for traditional pub meals after exploring the nearby Tarka Trail.
This was ideal for me. I loved it here. It was really peaceful. I couldn't hear a thing apart from the birds and the occasional sheep. I stayed for 4 days and I wished it could have been longer. There is no TV in the hut which also suits me to the ground. The wi-fi is excellent so if you do want to watch something on an I pad or tablet you will have no problem with the reception.
There was a nice touch with tea making facilities and scones provided for the 4 days that I was there.

The cottage was easy to locate following instructions.
The cottage was very clean and tidy.
We had 1 minor problem which was dealt with very quickly.
We met the owner who was very nice and chatty
The price we paid was very reasonable and worth every penny.
Will definitely book again

We chose this cottage due to its location in Appledore and that it's dog friendly. We stayed in Apple Tree cottage. It was a lovely surprise to see what lay behind the No 5 door. The cottage was clean and cosy. Tastefully decorated. It was well equipped with what you need for a comfortable stay. Free WiFi. TV with Net Flix etc.Nice bathroom with bath and shower. It is close to all the amenities Appledore has to offer. It is an ideal base to discover North Devon, which is beautiful. The garden...

Have been to Woolacombe many times and this was the best property we have stayed in. Comfy bed, good quality furnishings and great location within the village
Only thing I was say is we used the washing machine and then couldn’t find a clothes dryer …. Maybe it’s there somewhere but we couldn’t find one

I can’t fault Tim & Gill’s cottage. It was excellent. Everything you needed was available. Basically apart your own belongings she supplied towels, washing up liquid, foil, salt & pepper etc.,
You are welcomed with fresh flower's
on the dining table & the most lovely scones, jam & clotted cream, fresh eggs(from Gill’s own chicks) & milk. Amazing!!
Everything spotless clean. Have already stayed a second time & will be back next year.

Would definitely recommend.
Very comfortable and clean. If it had a garden it would be perfect.
Enough loo roll to last a few days would have been nice.
