"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Villa Kelapa. We were looking for a few days of mainly relaxation, and this place was perfect for that. "The resort is rather out of the way, being on top Langkawi's highest mountain, Gunung Raya. The exterior of the resort is in need of upgrading, but the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The few staff there are exceedingly helpful and conscientious, helpful with any requests I had. "If you like closeness to nature, this the place for you. Squirrels, birds and monkeys visited our balcony during our stay. The glass walled villa offers amazing view of the forest in all four directions but if you prefer privacy, draw the curtains, which we didn't have to use. Given the location, expect some ants, mostly in the bathtub but they don't bite or bother us. The adorable resident dogs do bark intermittently at night so bring ear plugs if necessary.
