"The chalet was clean and comfortable and in a lovely peaceful and picturesque location. However we did have a problem with the bathroom door as lock was lose and on occasions we couldn't get out of the bathroom or in if the door was properly closed. On stripping of the beds as requested by the cleaning company notes left in the chalet, my daughter was quite upset to discover a dodgy looking yellow stain on the mattress protector under the bottom sheet and also on the pillows. White Lion Royal Hotel

"We really enjoy staying at White Lion the rooms are spacious and clean and beds comfortable. Good car park to rear and outdoor seating area to the rear also. Bar is pleasant for drinks. We have stayed here several times already and we’d definitely stay here again This time the breakfast was disappointing - no longer as good a selection of continental and it was chaotic with people queueing to self serve area. But, as it is optional we just went somewhere else on second day."

"Found the hotel really good. There is plenty of parking at the hotel and it was very good value for money. Breakfast was included in the price we paid and was really good. Our room was a good size and had everything we needed and the bathroom was a good size. Lovely clean bedding and towels and everywhere was clean."

"The location was great with a lovely sea view. All the staff were pleasant especially Josh who helped with bags . My only complaint is the standard of the room. It's very dated and needs TLC . Plaster falling off some of the walls. No bedside tables. Old shower curtain. Also breakfast was extra. We spoke with other people who was staying at another hotel cheaper rate with breakfast included. I wouldn't book again."

"The lady who checked us in was lovely. Going up the stairs to the triple room was unclean. The room was pretty small, not very clean, and really tatty. The shower was very poor. It was a warm evening and the room was very warm. The standing fan was slightly broken and was really grimy/dusty before I wiped it over - did not feel safe enough to leave it running too long."
