The hotel common areas and rooms are in good condition, and the staff is very helpful. Parking can be an issue if you are there during a busy time. The buffet breakfast had multiple hot and cold items for a nice start to the day. I had a river view room, which provided a lovely view. "

Nothing on Hotel.com prepares you for the fact that you need to book in to another hotel's reception nor that when you try to do so the receptionist will deny knowing anything about the procedure. Nor will you know that, when you phone the hotel, they will sigh in exasperation that you cannot speak German and that they will be pretty rude to you. Add to the above that it took 45 minutes to check us in to a pre-booked reservation and the room service called at 8am and...

. My only negative was the habit that many Slovakian hotels have of using single beds and placing them together (while still made up as single beds) and claiming this to be a double or king bed. Thankfully the reception staff provided me with sheets to convert my singles to a double (sort of)"
