A charming hotel with beautiful and inviting decor - the lobby is filled with interesting and striking objects from around the world, particularly Asia and Africa. My room was so quaint and pretty - the floral wallpaper was a nice touch. The view of the vineyards/rolling hills was memorable. I felt very safe throughout my stay, both in the hotel and in the area surrounding it. My only complaint was that there was no elevator and I had to lug up my big suitcase to the 3rd floor all by myself!

Oh I loved this hotel! Great location with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Gorgeous sitting areas with a unique eclectic gathering of items. Lovely courtyard and delicious breakfast. It feels like you are staying in a fairy castle in medieval times! Had 2 different rooms and both were lovely! Highly recommend if you are anywhere close to Turckheim!!

The hotel was like a museum from the 13th Century. Absolutely beautiful right in the middle of a medieval city.

Beautiful historic property with lots of character and charm, lovingly maintained. Turckheim's historic centre at the foot of the vineyards is a quaint alternative to its large neighbour Colmar, so glad we discovered this for a quiet weekend with wonderful food.

Lovely and romantic
Very nice hotel, very clean and comfortable. With lots of vintage charm. Surroundings are also top notch. My only concern is that there are very few rooms with a shower, so we had to climb to the 2nd floor with our suitcases. An other bémol is the price of the buffet breakfast (€14.00) and the parking (€10.00) which raises the price of the room by €38 per day! So a very reasonably priced room becomes quite expensive

Lovely Family Weekend
We enjoyed a lovely stay, with free parking and breakfast at the property. The chess set and games were a big hit for our son in the evening while being serviced wine and beer. We enjoyed walking the town, but especially visiting the WWII museum which is a 5 minute walk away. Cafe and restaurants also a 5 minute walk away and were lovely.

This was a very old hotel, in a small beautiful town near Colmar, which is what I wanted. The room was small, but the bathroom and shower were larger than similar hotels, and modern. The entrance lounge rooms were unusually decorated, but with very good taste, and lots of room to relax. The breakfast was E14/each extra, and was not worth it, compared to other hotels that included the breakfast in the charge. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Excellent hotel
I loved this hotel, it has loads of character in a small town with loads of character. The staff were very friendly, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. There's a lovely lobby area with games and puzzles, books and magazines if you want or you can just sit and relax. The WiFi signal isn't the strongest but that isn't going to spoil the overall experience. I love Alsace and so if/when I come back I'll be sure to check in here.

Beautiful historic hotel
This is a beautiful historical hotel in a beautiful little historical village. Turckheim is situated in the middle of the elzas vineyards and right in front of the vosges mountains.

Wonderful hotel, for a perfect Alsace trip
Wonderful, charming hotel in a beautiful location right in the heart of Turckheim. The room was not as impressive and beautiful as on pictures, it’s condition and decor are not as outstanding. You should probably get the prestige rooms if you want the best experience. We’ve had a fantastic stay in any case.

Charming and cozy hotel
I’ve been to many hotels that put a lot of effort into the interior design of the lobby, but they were always empty as the guests just walked through on their way out the door. At this hotel, families were sitting and visiting, playing games, reading, and snacking all through the public space. It truly felt like visiting someone’s warm and welcoming home. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were large, given that the hotel is many centuries old. The rooms are a little scruffy (some wallpaper peeling at the edges) , kind of the way the guest room at your grandparents’ might be when you visit for the holidays. Lovely breakfast of local products in a dining room with chandeliers and lit candelabras on the tables. If I’m ever back in the area, I’ll definitely come back.

Perfect location
Lovely village, an excellent location for exploring the Alsace wine region. Hotel was quirky with lots of original decorations. Rooms were what I would expect, clean and tidy. Being English I do miss not having tea making facilities in my room!

Pretty hotel in a lovely village
The hotel was well located in the centre of the village and in the centre of the vineyards. The parking opposite the hotel seemed safe and was free. The hotel was traditional in terms of interior design with some nice pieces of antique furniture. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. An excellent breakfast was served and was avilable on the terasse or in the breakfast room. The only criticism was the lack of air conditioning as the night we spent there was very hot.

A wonderful old building, more picturesque than practical, in a lovely town ~ the Caves du Turckheim are worth a visit to stock up on delicious Alsace wine ! It was disappointing to find the hotel had no restaurant but there were several nearby. Overall a pleasant enough stay.

This place was so cool. I just have to get this out of the way ... wifi connection is not good! But that is the only downside. The breakfast is a bit spendy (14pp) but is FABULOUS and worth the money. Street parking is free if available. This town is a medeival gem with great restaurants that have friendly and accommodating staff. Heads up: church bells start at 7 am I believe and go every 15 minutes for the rest of the day. If you're staying in Turckheim, stay here.

The hotel looked charming, on the outside and inside. We were running late due to traffic and the receptionist was very friendly (via email) and worked with us on how to check in despite the late hour. There is plenty of street parking right outside the hotel, so I would definitely not pay the hotel to park. We booked a Double Room (Prestige). The room was located in the older portion of the hotel and, although, we did enjoy the view facing the street, the room (and section of the hotel) was extremely outdated. The room had a very funny smell to it and we had to leave all the windows open for awhile in order to tolerate the smell. We walked up the staircase to the newer side, which seemed very nice. My recommendation would be to update the original part of the hotel. It felt very outdated and was not extremely comfortable. Also, the pillows were too small. Would recommend getting pillows with more filling in them.

What a gorgeous hotel!
This is truly one of the most lovely hotels we have stayed at. All we wanted to do was tour the various areas which were like part of a home. We enjoyed our cozy room and bed. It was right in the center of the charming town. I would love to return.

An excellent stop over.
We have used this hotel three times, and have always been delighted with our choice. The staff are welcoming, and although we take the ecomony option, the room is always comfortable with lovely views across the ancient little town . Our little dog is always welcome in this hotel, and she has befrended the elderly hotel dog. We have always been able to park very close to the hotel, and feel that it is a very safe and secure little town. The breakfast is delicious, just what we need to continue our journey to Italy.

Wonderful "old world" hotel in Turckheim
The hotel is old, but put that aside, it is charming, if you like that type of atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable and the bathrooms need a little bit of sprucing up but clean. The public rooms are a mélange of eccentric styles, but it works. Nice outdoor garden with tables. We didn't eat in the dining room. Location is very central and we found parking on the streets so didn't have to pay for hotel parking. The town is small, and not inundated with tourists, and there are some good restaurants, la Tour and the Comtesse are recommended.
